Farhat looking out of his depth - not middling any of his defence shots. All find thick outside edges

Farhat leaving anything outside the off stump, most are swinging back. Needs to be very carefull.

ball swinging.... might as well start hitting out and get some runs on the board before the inevitable happens...

Still thick outside edges

Just needs one shot to get going, let's hope he gets the chance before he gets out!

come on farhat - prove all your detractors wrong

ride your jammy luck

Time to hit like Gul, we have better chance of scoring some runs that way.

Golden rule at Edgbaston-Always bat first....However when it comes to our team its perhaps not wise !

Still,we cant chase a total so better to bat first.

Oh, lets hope that golden rule works for our team.

Butt looks solid

Farhat still iffy

No worries, partnership will come good! It's what's after number 3 is the problem!

@Egdbaston - Apparently ball swings more when lacker comes off ie after 10 overs

disappointed hammeed isn't in the team. oh well.

Good first few over but farhat needs to get off the mark.

Anderson looking scary.

Dont get me wrong but here ball doesnt get old after 10 overs, they need to start putting away bad ball.

This is the first time Pakistan has batted first in the tests all summer.

David Lloyd comparing the Pakistan and England experience and team average age.

i just hope for the fans that match goes into the 5 th day and it doesnt turn out to be a damp squib

Farhat not off the mark after playing 18 balls

No biggie

Just stay out there!

Pakistan doing well. Just have to survive the early swing/movement. It will get easier when the ball is older.

relax, farhat always looks like he's going to get out with every ball, that's his style of play.

When he's looking comfortable and relaxed and the crease, that's when you're scared he's going to gift his wicket and get out.

Another maiden.

PAK 7-0 6 Overs.

Commentators : Lacker has come off the ball. Its swinging more than Trent Bridge !

Why do we let the bowlers get into their rhythm? Anderson's well into his groove now, wicket to fall soon.
