I would say tight bowling by Pak.

They are still in the game due to their rpo.

If their batsmen can block, they would go to Oval with 1-1.

Its not easy for a leg spinner to control his line and length unless u r Shane warne or kumble.

how much minus Hafeez is on already ??

this tactic will backfireon you if the opposition does not give their wickets away.

once these guys are settled and lead has grown, they will attack freely with runs on the board.

Really poor tactics after getting 2 wickets in the first 20 minutes.

Pakistan packing the offside field and bowling outside off strangling England.

England not taking the bait as they know anything under 200 and a defeat is confirmed and the series winning possibility is lost.

Stalemate is the result and match is veering towards a draw unless something drastic happens.

Root should go and also shake hands with Hafeez for gifting him that fifty

I was quoting the hafeez one ...quoted this one. Lol.

absolutely also someone can check since he opposed Amirs return and all that episode he brought nothing but shame to his name and 0 good to the team.

Vince is a very limited player. Doesn't even have a shot to work the delivery to third man

As much as I hate Hafeez for dropping it, that was a very hard chance

This one does not carried to him.

Sorry, going to disagree here. Any decent slip fielder would have caught it. Hafeez simply has no business being in the slips anyway. We have MUCH better catchers in our team who should be there.

The longer Root stays, the more dangerous it will be for Pak.

That said, I would rather be at the Pakistan camp than the England one because the worst thing that ca happen to Pakistan is for them to bat out a day.

While all it takes is the wicket of Root to send the cat amongst the pigeons and trigger a collapse and anything under 250 is game on for Pak.

That's close. Looped the ball a little more and deceived Root.

9 overs until new ball. Team green just needs to limit damage. Make sure they only give up 25-30 runs max. Then hope some new ball magic opens up game.

100% agreed. It is like we expect only the most basic and simple catches to be taken.

and trust me it was nothing extra ordinary difficult to catch was landing in his hands.

Yasir Shah the spring goat. England have taken him to school after Lord's.

Keep bowling that line Shah, just slow the pace down and give it some air. Make him reach for it and drag him out.

poor over from Yasir getting frustrated and I can understand why.

I would be in England's camp right now.

There is a huge IF in your statement.

England ahead and they are playing a very very sensible game here.

They are NOT playing for draw though it might look that way.

They could collapse and lose (cricket is such) which could happen but you will see what they were planning if they don't get damaged too much.

Yasir has been totally exposed by england. I

In fairness to Yasir, there is barely any spin (or bounce) on the track. It is flat. I would understand if other spinners were doing great and people want to complain about Yasir, but this track is helpful for pace, nothing for spin (not yet anyway, maybe new ball with some bounce?)

I was right about Yasir. He is not that good.

you are right about nothing yar you just complain when someone is down and shamelessly defend your opinion when wronged.

All your opinion adds is value of clown for neutrals at time.

100% agreed. Heck, even if they "collapse" from here, they could scrape a 200 run lead. That will not be easy for Pak to chase. And that is with a collapse. If they keep wickets in hand, they can easily accelerate rest of today, still 53 overs left. Pak has to bat a full day 5 to just draw in that case.

Bhai one England wicked and it will open. Pak losing is very tough as cook will not
Declare until 350 is set

Root Man of the Series, unless Woakes produces another great performance at The Oval.

We might only play in use then.

I assume you mean "Uae"? But not necessarily. Yasir can play well in India, SL, Bang, WI. Also, most test tracks will start to break up on day 4. And finally, you need variety in your attack. A leg spinner in a test match is huge.

Personally, I think Yasir is bowling decent. Maybe he could flight a bit more and be a little slower, but England are in a super dominant position, so I can understand him trying to be a bit more defensive.

Is there anybody out there who think that Pakistan can win or draw this match?

Its a nice battle bhai.

One wicket and England could be in trouble but pitch isn't tough and you can see England desperately crawling to 200 lead before they will start opening up big.

Pitch is absolutely dead.

If we have to draw just see off the first 25 overs then it is comfortable.

Pakistan needs to freshen up its attack. Going nowhere with these bowlers.

Bring in some raw pacers from the U-19s, do something.

Today is just about keeping the run rate in control... Tomorrow will be the battle for life.

Also shows how many catches our WC drops and how good Aussie keepers were.

I hope the new ball brings 4 wickets and none of the catches go towards Hafeez. He is always ready to do the opposition a favour..
