Amir taking his time upon his return after 6 years into the test Cricket.

I think we are asking to much from him at the moment. He will improve gradually if given confidence.
 
Another 50 run partnership will really sore the English wounds.. would love to see the face of Cook after they score more runs
 
Don't mock Sher's batting. Bumble keeps raving about the hours he's been spending in the nets :))
 
Sohail should have been in ODI side. May be, he would have been had the team was announced after Oval Test.
 
So now Amir got more runs than Hafeez in this series? And younus is on top from Pakistan with most runs

Cricket is a funny game :)))
 
A lead of 214. A magnificent batting effort. Kept England in the field for 146 overs.

Let's hope the bowlers can bowl with discipline.

Calm down Bro, both India and Lanka are going through transition, while u have luxury of two experienced chaps in misbah and younis, u don't get overnight replacement of guys like dravid,sewage, tendu, laxman , while for Lanka mahela and sanga were huge loss, so enjoy ur success,also u very well know that any decision on tour with pak is taken by govt not bcci, just last match u were criticising younis and how he should be drop.

Kudos to those who knew the Long Stop position.

This was used way before, probably before WW I cricket. In modern days, only few times Captains have used it. Last I can call was Brearly in 1979 WC Final - for last few overs, he actually kept 9 men (10 on last ball) on line against Viv.
 
Misbah's captaincy is going to be tested and he should attack right throughout and don't sit in like he did in Edgbaston and that cost us the game

Yeah, its okay man they are going through transition, but they are crushing WI right now and might get to #1 in rankings now. That's what makes me mad. The fact that we're better, but they might be ranked higher.

Soon we will be into the same transitioning period but would India be playing with Pakistan then...I am sure no because they don't want to...anyway this is not the topic to discuss here.
 
PAK must not make the mistake of Birmingham, when they allowed ENG to race away with the scoring.

Make thinks TIGHT, and force England to go for shots. Apart from temperamental issues, Poms can't bat for 2 days to save this match. Overs after over on tight line, batsmen will go for their shots.

PAK can help them though by dropping few sitters. Iftekhar at 1st Slip looks so cool..........
 
Cannot afford repeat of Day 3 evening session at Edgbaston when England wiped out deficit in no time.

Need early wickets and put them under immediate pressure.

That's been our problem the whole series , we have failed to keep batsmen quiet. Let's see how we go around this time.
 
West Indies are 5/2 with 80 overs to bat on day 5 today. If they can bat it out today and we win the Oval test, we will be no.1 in Test rankings, hoping Australia don't win their test. :)

West indies can draw the next test. Let them lose this one.
 
Even if England get bowled out for 400 its still a doable chase for us.

Obviously here's hoping we dismiss them for well below that, preferably 250-300. One last push, we've worked so hard this series and deserve another win.
 
That's the line don't waste the new ball,bowl closer even if you get hit
