Best of luck, Pakistan!

yes and he will bat at no.6:)

he looks good in the 4th innings played some good shots... got out unluckily ... but now he should know how to play with tail enders... thats the key for him..and get himself a good score

i think we should bowl first and get them out under 200..

if we bat first we have to score atleast 300 runs...thats pretty tough for us to score under these conditions on fresh pitch...swinging conditions

I really hope our batting comes to the party in this series, The bowli ng simply cant carry us all summer! Time for the batsmen to start scoring 100s!

what about keneria. i feel that saeed ajmal deserves a chance and we should use azhar ali as a leg spinner in shor spells

I think no one over here lives in nottingamshire who can give live weather updates

so it will be mostly cloudly since 11 AM...

bowl first or bat first

Out top 3 is scoring runs... in which azhar ali is good enough to deal in swinging conditions

rest of the batting line up didnt show up any thing satisfactory

Thanks sky sports are starting their coverage at 10 thought the game might start earlier.

DOnt get sky here. And Ten sports coverage sucks. They start showing the match right when the players are coming on the field. Not to mention the million ads between each over

im at work but can use the sky player to get sky sports what a great facility! 15 minutes before it comes on air better go make a cuppa and get comfortable :)

At Dubai airport waiting for my flight to London - Inshallah, when I arrive, we will be in a good position !

Hope you have a safe Journey. Hopefully we will have bowled england out like the Aussies by the time you land! ;-)

And Sky's coverage begins - like the new titles.

Hopefully their 'A' team of commentators will be here now that its an Eng home series!

Hi guys.

Sky's coverage has already begun great!

Can't believe they have Ramiz Raja to start off with! :(

Good morning, good morning. Welcome to the first Test for England this season, which is really the third Test of Pakistan's English summer. Pakistan drew the series 1-1 with Australia this month - now, what can they do against the home team?

Andrew Miller is at Trent Bridge and he reports the following: "It's fairly overcast so far this morning, so plenty for the captains to ponder before the toss. The pitch is one you'd want to bat first on in ordinary circumstances, but I dare say whoever loses the toss will be quite relieved."

Cricinfo

Sky's intro: Karachi 2000, Old Trafford no balls, Oval 2006, Old Trafford GBH - what a roll call of ignominy for us!

Hi guys.

Sky's coverage has already begun great!

NO one does cricket better.

I feel sorry for anyone having to watch it in Pak - pathetic picture quality; non-stop ads; loadshedding; rubbish analysis in studios etc!

Atherton: "I'm hoping for a bit of controversy this series" :)))

Embarrasing Clip.

Afridi tamperig with field.

And UDRS is back! I missed it! :)

David Gower: "With all the toys"!

4 Hot Spot cameras too! :14:

How is the pitch? weather is cloudy or sunny? any updates plz guys

Apparently, very poor crowds are expected for the series. Usually 1st 3 days are sellouts - but for this series, there are MORE THEN HALF the tickets still unsold for some days. The English are really not interested in this series. And the Pakistan supporters don't attend the tests. A shame.

heartening to see your negativity goes beyond the cricket field :14:

????? What was negative about that??? I read this in the Guardian and am just quoting what they said!!!! Just said that the English aren't interested in the series and the crowds are going to be v poor. No negativity intended.

Do you have one positive bone in your body?! Stop whinging so much and just enjoy the cricket

just checked the cricinfo live score card and they are saying Malik has been dropped !!! great !!!!

I feel sorry for the Counties that bid for the test matches - they really got caught up in the World T20 win hype & thought the masses would be falling over themselves to attend test matches

ECB & PCB are laughing as their cut was guaranteed!

Counties will have to lick their wounds & remember never to bid for a test match involving Pak!

:))

you cannot fill out the england stadiums with pakistani fans against aussies... though still there were number of supporters... THATS WHY BUTT in his presentation thanks to them... he was not talking to the walls :)

Nagraj Gollapudi, ever a man for a conspiracy, has a hunch that Shoaib Malik has been dropped for this match. He's not been taking part in fielding drills, and seems to be a man apart at the moment. We shall see soon enough. Yasir Hameed could be coming in instead.

Yes, and we complain that Pak doesn't get enough Tests! It doesn't get enough Tests because its not financially viable to host them...and that's if the PCB tries to arrange them.

Mostly, the PCB doesn't even bother.

I should be fun series. No one broadcast better than the English.

Win or loss doesn't matter that much as long as we fight till the end and give the Poms hard time then I'd be satisfied.

I hope this is true.

Malik Mirza and Kaneria, I wish I could meet them and tell them on their face "your game sux"

in T20s stadiums were full i guess... its T20 after all

in TEst matches if 50% stadium is filled up ... i think its enough .... If you are expecting to earn some money from TICKET of test matches :) i think your financial advisers are pathetic

From cricinfo.

10.25am It's also worth noting that the Pakistan flag is at half mast, after the air crash in Islamabad that killed 152 people yesterday.
