WEATHER REPORT [tms]
A look out of the window here in Salford Quays (across the Manchester Ship Canal from Old Trafford) shows plenty of cloud cover with the sun trying to poke through when it can. The BBC weather forecast for Stretford shows it may rain from about 1300 BST though. See what I mean about the first session being important, if you will.

Draw in my opinion . England will score around 400 .

more from tms : WEATHER FORECAST
BBC Weather's Darren Bett: "The weather's going to spoil things. We may get an hour's play before lunch but the rain is coming from Wales and, once it starts, we could be off for the whole of the afternoon session. The rain should move to the north and we should get some play after tea. But on Monday the rain may not clear until after tea."

StuBro with a classy boundary there. England can win this game.

If Eng has been forced follow on, then Aus will win doesn't matter how many times rain intrupts

F/O avoided . Match drawn . England retain Ashes & i am bored .

The Aussies just can't seem to get enough of young Stuart.

We want the deficit to be no less than 150 or it will be really hard to force a result.

England will do well to extended their trail to 150 with Jimmy on the crease

I'm going to call this as a draw. Tomorrow will be rained off.

yup, minimum of 2 sessions will be lost on day 5 . looking pretty cloudy now & rain probably in a hour or so .

good chance for Aus, out eng team and then some quick runs and game is ur

Prior really doesn't rate Anderson as a batsman eh.

England clearly playing for a draw

It looks like this is heading for a draw , can't see Eng getting bowled out again.

They are getting too caught up in this game of getting Anderson on strike. They just need to get whoever it is on strike out.

Prior hasn't played to his potential this Ashes, he needs to get his mojo back, costing me points in Ashes Fantasy

Australia will have to super aggressive to get a result out of this game now

Starc should open the batting with Rogers, Aussies needs quick runs and Starc is in good form :afridi

Warner is mentally down and out man, he will be greeted with boos and even after getting bowled he will ask for a review :butt

now Aus should score some quick runs, warner & watson shud open and start hitting big.

Play 50 overs score 200, a target of 359 in 100* overs should be enough :warne (weather permitting)

So, Australia acquire a very good 159 runs lead.

Now, they need to negotiate new ball carefully and then bat for 50 overs at around 4 runs per over.

Declare today and give England a target of 380 in 100 overs

Decent reply but not out of the woods yet.

Will be an interesting session before lunch. Quick runs are needed and Warner is the man to do it

A cameo from warner is essential here for Aussies. Smith also needs to be promoted.

:)))

Broad had a cheeky scratch on the ball before that delivery. :murali

why are england still crying over the decision? ffs there was no edge! wasted review!

Aussies need to score quickly and get a lead of 350 and then some how try and win the game.

Do not like Barbie's attitude & behavior, never really did . Can Swann take a few quick wickets ? Pitch certainly has something for him . 199 for 1 .

Looks like Barbie is looking to send as many short balls as possible at warner...

Usman is playing for his place not for the win, he'll be dropped. He'll blame Dharmesena for the rest of his life

Warner looking impressive, need watson in odi style
