Kohli should convert this potential century into a big 100 for us to have any sort of a chance.

Imagine you're 20 years old and you are making your test debut and you have Hardik Pandya to guide you at the other end. ::J
 
For some reason, Kohli seems to struggle against Adil Rashid..if Adil doesn't bowl a single delivery in this inning and score 0 while batting, his job wud be still considered a job well done

And the tables have turned yet again lol, he has got Kohli out once more, could be a match changing wicket.
 
Time for Pandya to show his real potential and unleash himself. He has got Pant on the other hand and allrounder Ashwin is yet to bat.

Very ordinary move to have Pant face Adil at the very beginning. He couldn't have asked for more, few runs to settle the nerves..
 
He took a wicket but he is a mediocre test bowler. Kohli gifted his wicket trying to get a 4 and complete century.
 
This is Pant's chance to make a name for himself. India don't have many options in the wicket keeping department after Dhoni.

As I said earlier India need atleast 350 on the board. And I think we will get there with Ashwin yet to bat.

Pant is only keeping Saha's place in tests. In ODIs we are stuck with MSD till the 2019 WC.

Looks like Pant has a wait ahead of him.
 
England’s fielding is shocking poor. How India have managed to be 2-0 despite the free gifts England keeps giving, is beyond me :))
 
Pandaya is pathetic.
Even debutant Pant is looking far better than him
 
Pant already looks much better than DK. not an achievement but I'll take it.
 
Pant has looked good today. His keeping will be real test though.

DK is nothing to write home about.

Too much is being made of his Nidahas Trophy Innings. Typical flash in the pan.
 
Broad is such an unlucky bowler... At times, he is just phenomenal with the bowl.
 
I thought that Pakistani fans are full of self hate....seems like Indian fans are no better.

Pandya and Pant are doing a decent job out there. Pandya seems to want to make sure he does not give up his wicket before the close. Pant just playing normally. Its not easy facing the second new ball, just before the close, and you are not really set.

If they get through unscathed, they will have done well. No need to feel bad that there are two young players out there who don't fit the 'meek Indian' stereotype...its ok, its how the rest of the world is.
 
I won't really hype pant. His batting is like when its luck it will look good else poor. His key will be how he does wicket keeping.

Apart from Pujari jee rest of the batsman have outscored him. So there is no excuse for his fans that he has scored more than all the top order batsman.
 
Cant believe Pandaya is playing in place of Jadeja. :facepalm:
What is soo special about him ? He can't bat, he can't bowl.
Why is he getting so many chances ?

Well... End of the day...I say England in front. They have a better and longer batting line up and don't have to play Anderson and Broad.
