England Vs India 3rd Test!

Owais can speak very good Urdu for someone who has been away for so long.
Munaf and him speaking fluently...

This is BULL Y is the spinners bowling, DRAVID U NUT let Sreesanth clean up the tail....

Harder for Owais to hit boundaries without taking risks if the spinners are bowling.

after he hit bhaji for that six, was laughing..............:))

and srinath goes, this is not good for the spirit of the game, arrogance.......this lad has....
:)))
what a cry baby

Shah hits Harbhajan for six then just starts laughing at him while the ball is still in midair :*)

A SIX followed by a FOUR......Bhajji getting his dose again.

Umm he didnt dominate any bowlers except for Harbhajan LOL. Then again who doesnt dominate Harbhajan these days LOL.. Tell you what taking bowlers to the cleaners is Afridi's 100 in the recent test finished against India, It was Dhoni's hundred where he dominated Aktar etc... Shah made a well composed contribution good on him I say...

the only place where he can dominate shoaib akhtar is in dreams....that too if shoaib allows him!!!!! what a joke......

Calm down Cavin, its just a game :25:
i know its a game, but freedi dominating the indian attack yes, like you said 40 odd ball 100....but howcome dhoni domination shoaib akhtar.............you need to get your math right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

england ended 400...

hoggy bowling to wasim jaffer...get sachin in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!cant wait till he comes out:Dhes due for some big ones today ;-)

Well we got the 400. That is a big pyschological boost for the team. Now we need to make inroads into the Indian top order.

Sehwag gone to superb ball from hoggard. straight and short at body!

caught at slip. 9-1

Sehwag ggggoooooooooooonnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeski.

Geez Hoggard's improved massively from the trundler I saw getting smashed around the SCG during the first VB series final against OZ back in Jan 2003. I'd say he's been the best bowler on tour so far.

wasim jaffer dropped at 3rd slip. ball goes for 4.

shud have been caught by strauss.

dravid the key as per usual

Dravid edges ball now and just drops infront of gulley!

Jaffer gone. short ball gloved down legside!

india 24/2

hoggy strikes again!

I have no doubt in my mind if ENG were on their full strength team, they wouldve trashed India...

Sachin gone, poor waft away from body!

anderson strikes.

india 28/3

YES YES GO JIMMY. Tendulkar caught behind. India are in a mess. Go England

Yuvraj looking in top form. hes played 3 top shots today already.

india 51/3

noodles onto bowl.

seems to me kumar sangakara is the real captain..rather jayawardne
huge shout for lbw turned down by the umpire (good man) :P

Is the number 1 jinxed or something. In the space of 24 hours the three greatest batsman of this era have been dismissed for 1.

89/3 at stumps. England in a good position. Hopefully we can get a lead of 100+

England are in a good positon for now. Yuvraj is looking dangerous though, need to get him early tomorrow

Either Yuvraj or Dravid out early tomorrow and we will be in business big style. After these there are only Dhoni (who has been crap against us so far) and the all-rounders/bowlers to come. Chance of a 1st innings lead here, how big I dont know.

Agree, couple of wickets tomorrow then you will find the tail.

You know what, bowling first might have turned out to be a decent decision if India had actually bowled well on the first day. England showed with the Veru and Tendu dismissals that you can get this pitch to do stuff if you bowl well.

Definately. Pathan was absolutely shocking. Patel was decent , Mowgli was good. Then you have the spinners. Seriously what has happened to Tendulkar? He has been utter crap throughout the last 2 series and its a shame because he is my fav Indian cricketer.

Tendulkar is just in a bad patch right now for the first time in the last 16 years of his career, it happens mate.............

Tendulkar has looked like a shadow of his former self in general recently...then again was quite amusing tday :) He looked scared to face Flintoff so was trying to take singles to the other end...when he escaped to the other end Anderson got him out :10:

There is a huge variance between SRTs tests and ODI performance. Since he came back from injury, his average in tests is 19 in last 10 innings. In ODIs his average is very good in the same period and was instrumental in us winning the ODI series against Pak (His 95 in the 3rd ODI was a gem on a seaming and swinging track). I think he will definitely last in ODIs. In tests, I think there is seriously something wrong with his role of an "innings builder" since John Wright started coaching. What, he scored 1 off 21 balls today? I think SRT should be given the license to kill, should play as if he is playing an ODI. I still don't think SRT is done.

What makes you think he was scared of Flintoff?

The Mumbai crowd I see booed Tendulkar, which was somewhat harsh.

They have also sparodically, been chanting 'pakistan chor hai', which is just stupid.

He was trying to take singles off him and might have got run out because of it. It was clear he didnt want to face 90mph early, probably nervous about the way he got out in Mohali. Something isnt right about Sachin's batting at the moment, he just looks like an average player.

I know Tendu is god, not scared of anything, best batsman in the world and everything :29: But there's no doubting it, our star player had yours on the ropes today, and made sure he would be under pressure at both ends. Why do you think he made 1 run? It was good captaincy and good bowling.

I enjoyed the days play today - far more interesting that SL v Pak.

As for Tendulkar - I havent really had an opinion on the guy - despite the millions of comments passed on him, esp over the last 12 months BUT today was the turning point. Tendulkar DID NOT want to face Flintoff and was DESPERATE to get to the non-strikers end.

The guy should probably retire with his dignity and status still in tact.

In recent memory, only Gooch and Inzi have got better with age.

The fact that the opposition now regard Tendulkar as an 'easy wicket' should be the warning sign to Chappel & Dravid. Ganguly made way when every team WANTED him to play.

Yeah but Flintoff is overhyped, crap and fat! And the fearless brilliant Tendulkar couldnt possibly have wanted to get off strike against him :O

I'm not saying SRT was scared - but clearly he didnt relish the prospect of some quick stuff from Freddie.

That means he was scared. Why else would he want to get off strike, so his mate Dravid could get bruised instead and possibly get out?

People just dont dare say he was scared because it was Tendu.

May be Owais scoring 88 would have something to do with it ;-)

Indian crowd in general is a whining cry baby who can't accept defeat and loves looking for scapegoats.

It could be because he wants to get off the mark quickly and remove the pressure off himself. He scored 1 off 21 and would have been itching to score a run. If you think he was scared, wait until the ODI series starts and he will be back to his fluent self. It was similar in Pak as well, he failed in tests but was instrumental in India winning the ODI series.

I think this has something to do with the roles John Wright and now Chappel are assigning to players. Sachin has taken the role of "responsible innings builder" when he can't be one. Earlier he used to be criticised for not lasting through Indian innings and getting out cheaply to an "irresponsible" shot. In order to curb those "irresponsible" shots and play the role of a "responsible innings builder", he has stopped scoring runs. He is being asked to be what he is not, akin to a tiger being asked to play the role of a kitten.

Could you tell me where to buy a crystal ball, I've always wanted one?

Tendulkar seems to be all messed up in his head. Perhaps the Captain and Coach should ask him not to take his role too seriously.

the batting line-up looks somewhat thin, judging by the current form . Dravid-Yuvraj is the only chance. And the tail too is a little longer with both Munaf and Sreesanth in the 11.

I guess india will concede a lead of 100+. I hope i am proved wrong.

Dravid and Yuvraj will need to make a big partnership tommorow, they hold the key for India.........and the rest of the batsmen chipping in with a few useful runs, otherwise I see a 150+ English run lead.

Lets look at the batting to come:

Dhoni has been in the pocket of the England seamers all series, has not made any runs against us, he hasnt suggested he will start doing that. :13:

Pathan and the bowlers can make runs on their day, but this pitch is starting to misbehave, and tail ender's price on their wicket goes down A LOT when the pitch is misbehaving.

If Dravid or Yuvraj gets out tomorrow before lunch (especially in first 30 mins) then it could be a huge struggle for India to stay in the game. Their top order will have failed again. Without Dravid it is hard to see where the Indian team would be right now, he is so so good, but the rest are either inconsistent or plain rubbish

I see a bigger lead. I don't think England will allow Pathan to score this time. Dhoni is severely over-hyped and he will fail again. Don't think Kumble and Bhajji will come to the party this time. In short, this test is a disaster waiting to happen for India.

If we bowl you out for under 200 I hope we dont enforce the follow on. We should just treat it as a lead, then bat some more and continue to make a big big lead.

I dont wanna end up batting last here. It will be like the Moon in a few days.

Whippy, you sure are mighty confident on your chances of winning. I really want Englad to win but if they dont i will be the first to laugh at you.

:D

England owned the first 2 days, Whippy should be confident and happy, right now I'm starring at defeat these two batsmen holds the key, one of them gets out early tommorow, and India will have to follow on, and I do agree that no-team would want to bat last, India usaually cant save the test match batting last.

I see a 200+ run lead for England.

Well, talking about domination, the ones given by you pale in magnitude when you run YK's and Sehwag's performances against each others' team in the last few Series.

Shah batted superbly and desereved a 100 on debut. Nevertheless, he has done his career a lot ofgood with this solid knock- also shutting up the hate-filled morons in the crowd who were heckling him initially.

Panesar would be crucial - this time the Indians must figure a way of playing him well in the fourth innings.

Out of the fire, and into the frying pan! :)))

I think India should attack both spinners, taking them to the cleaners.

India must play positivly.

It will take a Sehwag, Yuvraj or Dhoni to take the attack to Panesar especially, as the English Sikh has his tail up, flying high after his dream debut.

It should be a fascinating first session tomorrow.

I think Udal will get clobbered. He throws the ball up alot and the batsmen have the time to get into the perfect position for the stroke. Dravid today was playing he effortless all around the ground. I suggest to Udal to flight it less and try to bowl it flatter with pace.
