England vs India | 4th Test | The Oval | Aug 18-22 | Day 3

Topsy turvy batting order by India again. I assume Gambhir's injured?

Laxman is good at what he does, but he shouldn't be playing up the order, he clearly struggles with the new ball.

What they should have done was Dravid opener, Tendulkar up to three. Dunno why they're so insistent on keeping tendulkar at four and juggling the batting order like this. Shifting everyone one up minimizes the damage caused by the changing of the batting order. Tendulkar is a quality player who's perfectly able to bat at three.

Broad rewarded :wahab
Remember when Oram from New Zealand did something in these lines to Afridi some months ago (a beamer I think)... Lala was like 'Oh, that's nothing'... then hits a six. :afridi

Very surprising that Tendulkar has never batted at number 3! :O

None in the world plays the straight drive better than Great Sachin.

Teenda has NEVER played at number 3, in his billion innings.

What a coward. Ponting deserves more credit over this midget. Scoring runs on dead pitches and against old balls. :yk

Dravid is finding the middle of the bat almost every ball.

Sachin averages only 10 in odis at no 3. That's why he only opens or comes at no 4.

Broad to Dravid, 1 run, 139.3 kph, and the single to cover makes Dravid and Tendulkar the most prolific partnership in Tests, this is the full list. That's a big record, Indian fans will hope they extend the lead over Greenidge and Haynes by a couple of hundred in this innings

something for indians to cheer about.

Should really be a draw here if the Indian batting is to retain any respect from this series. This wicket is as flat as a well done paratha.

Dravid never smiles while he's batting apparently. :moyo

Rahul Dravid's smile: India's only interesiting performance during this series, apparently. :fawad

Bresnan not bowling well.

42/2.

Bring on the Swann.

Would be unfair to Tremlet if Bresnan replaces him for good, he bowled pretty well against Srilanka

@Sledger - Oh thanks for the clarification.

Tendulkar has tried to get after Swann's early overs each time. Four.

As expected Tendulkar off to a good start in quest of that elusive 100th 100 in a dead rubber ... on a pancake :asif

Pitchcam.. how useless. As if it tells anyone anything.

Nasser : Did the Indian batsmen steam into the dressing room and demand to know where the pitch they fielded on went?
