Babar is a very LBW candidate. In how many minutes will he get OUT is the guess?

Might be bit of luck his test batting career needs.
 
Them stats are damming against Babar though - averages 10 if the ball swings more than 0.75 degrees, and 26 for anything 0-0.074. Not great at all.

Babar can never be a Misbah/Azhar type tuk tuk bat.... he needs to make YK his mentor who used to bat at 60-70 SR when on song. Babar needs to aim for that SR to be successful in tests. If he goes into tuk tuk mode he will not flourish as a batsman. Defense is not his natural game.
 
Funny how same PP'ers were singing praises for Azhar but not a word of appreciation for Papa Shafiq whose innings has been significantly better.

Shafiq wouldn't have survived last night against a new cherry under lights last night the way Azhar managed to. Both have different roles and approach to batting in this team so unfair to compare.
 
It really is a shame that Pakistan do not have any good commentators in the country.

Poor English and no clue about domestic cricket or actually talk much cricket wise either.
 
A few to many wild shots here and our batsmen riding their luck.

I prefer Shafiq to Azhar but would not say his innings has been better.

Shafiq playing quite well but looks a bit nervous, Azhar looked solid.
 
I get the Isa complaints tbh, she does add nothing to the commentary box. Would rather have Nas and Michael talk instead of her. If she actually had further knowledge on certain matters then it'd be different but she's just regurgitating what's already being said
 
Shame that there is no appreciation for Pakistan in the crowd.

The crowd has been a disappointment not much cheering for the opposition.
 
That one time Babar gets bat on ball. FOUR. I don’t know why he’s forcefully trying play a pure Test innings when he naturally is a 70-90 SR player just like ODIs.
 
Asad should be look at getting his name on honours board today with a 100 hopefully!

He's currently got a SR of 55, while Shafiq has 60+. These two in the last 10 overs got 41 runs. Really good so far. I think he just carries on what he's doing, and Asad has shown some much needed leadership in the middle order.

Babar will never become a successful Test cricket if he doesn’t start bat at a SR over 70. He is leaving too many balls on purpose.
 
SkySports should have hired Waqar instead of Wasim. he is better at commentary, and does critical analysis well. Wasim just states obvious things.
 
A lead of about 150 should make a Pakistan win almost certain.
 
What is wasim talking about,Zero knowledge about FC cricket in pak and saying techniques have become better because of green pitches.

I love it when Wasim reads out the scores and other stats off the screen right down to quoting the run rate to 2 decimal points (like the readers cannot read it for themselves)...
 
20 overs to new ball. Can we aim to be around 230/4 when the new ball hits?
 
This is my beef with Azhar mode of batting. You bat and bat and bat but don't score any runs and then eventually when you get out the scoreboard hasn't gone anywhere.
 
Does anyone miss Rameez? Watching Pakistan cricket without him isn’t the same :(

I for one am definitely surprised at the application and the temperament shown by the Pak batsmen. These aren't batting conditions and sure they have had some luck but the approach has been very good.

They aren't overawed by playing at Lords and a full house.

Before the series I was in the camp of Pak would be lucky to get nil.

Having one or two of Azhar type batsmen who grit it out is necessary in a batting lineup. You can't have a all strokemakers nor can you have all grinders in the team. Every player has a role and Azhar does his more than well at the top of the order.

Well, their partnership is at a RR of 3.46. That's pretty good if I gotta say so myself. That'll leave us at around 230 when the new ball comes. Maybe 240 if these two push on a little more and get more confident in handling the moving ball.
 
God Wasim makes Rameez look ok. Which seems impossible. And he is particularly embarrassing when Pakistan beat the odds to win. Hope he isn't in the commentary box if that happens.

I missed the first session.

Was the ball moving around for a bit/while? Or did the Pakistani batters just make it look difficult?

Batting conditions couldn't have been too tough as Pakistan have only lost 2 wickets today.
 
I like Wasim a lot as a cricketer and and as an individual off the field.

But God his commentary is very cringeworthy.

Ramiz as annoying as is is comfortably better, even Waqar is a level up.

Rubbish...he dulled out the pointed bowling from the bowlers in the early monring, tired them out and gave us a foundation that Babar and Asad are taking advantage and building on...

Ironically this type of pitch suits the accumulators that Pak have rather than the millionaire type white ball merchants which are the norm at the moment.

I dont enjoy wasim's commnetary. Boring, and no knowledge about Pak domestic. Just repeat the obvious things or blasts from past like when i played, when we did this when we did that etc etc
 
Just watched this over from Bess. How is this guy a test spinner? he's like a right handed imad wasim . . a darter! Obviously, I haven't seen him before but just going by that last over
