Maybe, but this series with Pakistan is a glorified warmup in the grand scheme of things.

India is the main event this summer. If they beat them, they won’t care about the result of this series.

As a consultant, not in a functional role. He can give 100 ideas - it's up to PCB to take or not. Even if they take 10%, still worthy, because nothing will be trash in his feed back.

After 3/4 months, finally Haroon Rashid came with the idea of expanding QeA to 20 teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not worried about my reputation. England is my second team, and it disappoints me to see them give up on Test cricket.

They badly want to win the World Cup next year, and they know that their young players do not care about Test cricket.

I reckon they will go all the way next summer. Must have learned something from WT20 2016 and CT 2017. India is the only team that can stop them though.
 
Hope Babar comes out to hold up one end. Would be painful but it would be worth it

Bro, Poms made 3 WC Finals, 1 CT Final - won only a T20 Cup, because that's more muscle, less guts. And, they have played 4 WCs & 2 CT at home - give BD that amount, we'll end up winning at least one!!!

All that is true, but this is the first time they are hosting a World Cup when their team is not ****, and to be fair, ever since they have got their act together in LOIs, they have made an impact in tournaments.

If they fail to win the World Cup next year, they will deserve the chokers tag.

SAF is genuine choker - Poms are not Choker Mamoon, they are just not good enough. You know, British media used to write Big 4, in just about 2 years back - Roger, Rafa, Novak & ............. Sir Andrew Murray .......... that's British media for you.

If PCB spends some halal money to send Test specialists 1 month prior to 1st Test, with in a frame of an A tour to play 4/5 proper FC games (not circus where 15 acts in rotation, 11 at a time) SAF will also face what is ENG is like to PAK in this Test.

Their ODI is brilliant though. I think you are writing them off too much, and you did the same before the Australian ODI series.

The way they stomped on the kangaroo tail in the ODI series showed that they mean business in this format.

Can’t vouch for their mental strength at this point though, but the skills are certainly there.

Tactical mistakes aside, the main issue is occupying the crease and scoring big.

Haris is the best batsman in the side, but he can’t be trusted to score big. In a better system, he could have been a 20+ hundred player, but he will be lucky to score 10 consider his age and fitness now.

Shafiq will always be Shafiq, and Sarfraz is just good enough for a few cameos at best.

Too much depends on how Babar develops in Tests.
 
If babar cant bat wud probably be better to get england back in now.
 
We can very well dismiss this English side for under 150.... remember the ball is going to spin now too.
