England vs Pakistan | 2nd Test | Headingley, Leeds | June 1-5, 2018 | Day 1 | Match Thread

Good old Pakistan. Now it’s Pakistan’s turn to regret the decision at the Toss.

The two most exciting players in our team at the crease...

Aus of early 2000s was a GOAT team and if they were ever in such a position they would have Gilly come in and try and smash the opposition. More often than not it worked.

Sometimes we should give credit to opposition too.
You guys really think its because of toss, or batsmen.
Broad is bowling unplayable deliveries. Best is just try to play fast now and reach 150-200, sooner or later you will get a good one.

Don't worry pak have klusner and Warne batting here.

I can just imagine the talk Mickey will give.

They will be fired up tomorrow. :ma

Hasan and Shadab.

Time to enjoy the dream team in action.

Not the first time we’ve been bowled out for a 100 against England and WON.

Relax guys, it’s Day 1.

Dont worry playing two All rounders at 6/7 will bail us out when ever needed, lets just ignore we have a walking wicket opener and a tailender captain batting in top 6.

We got away with it in 1st test but was always going to come back to haunt pakistan such selections

I am calling this performance by England a fluke.

That's right, you heard it!

This is what a fluke looks like.

Why did PAK opted to bat first? Root's call at Lord's was poor, this one is like playing 3 pacers at Dubai after Abu Dhabi.

Last time PAK played there, I think first innings ended at 89 - that should be first target.

Back to reality after last week. Oh well....

Problem is we are falling apart so quickly, that even if it does rain tomorrow, there will still be enough time in this test for England to win it.

Some poor batting and some good bowling but regardless of the movement it’s not a 80/7 wicket.

The game is certainly gone, if you get bowled under 100 then you never win.

Broad has bowled 11 overs and Anderson 10, can't imagine both having alot more left in the tank for today. Need to see them off and then we can hope for 150 some how

I agree that you have to give credit to the opposition. I think England bowled brilliantly. However, It’s quite easy to see that batting first was a bad decision even though it made sense at the time.

What a shot, looks like Amir's had a pep talk from Rahat :rahat1

Another one of those South African instincts of Mickey Arthur which will cost Pak. Never bat first with Pak on a bowling friendly wicket. It never ends well.

ENG will also struggle, if catches are taken; today Poms took their catches. Last time I believe AUS were all out for 89, then batting last it took 7th wicket partnership from Amir & Umar to add 35 or so to win by 3 wickets.....

One thing I love about Amir he is a fighter doesn't give up easy

Why do the batsmen keep playing across the line. How about a straight bat. All the wickets post lunch were playing across.

Will this batting display make a case of Hafeez to be back in playing XI.

I think the pitch will deteriorate in the coming days.

Should make for an enthralling Test match.

From commies to pundits to posters here almost everyone said batting first was the right decision at the start, its easy to say now.

Amir hasn't given up so why are we giving up?

He is the one who has to do all the work. While we are giving up sitting in our comfy sofas.

It's a 2 innings game, so not everything lost yet; but bowling first worked perfectly at Lord's, today's forecast was also gloomy. Morning doesn't show the day in UK summer, in north it's naughtier.

Broad vs left handers this match has been amazing to watch, one of the most beautiful display of bowling..

Broad is bowling fluke deliveries today. Where were these skills in the last match?

Why did England have to switch to a fuller length should have stuck to back of length bowling :))
