To me it looks like PTI leaders are cowards who are too afraid to go to jail. They took the easy way out.

Like-minded members who quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have announced to form a new group called 'Democrats' instead of joining any other party.

A meeting of like-minded members who parted ways with the PTI was held under the chairmanship of Dr Murad Raas and Hashim Dogar -- who were part of the cabinet in the Buzdar-led Punjab government -- in which the name of the group was finalised.

It was decided in the meeting that the like-minded members will not make any contact or join Jahangir Khan Tareen group for now. The members will keep their separate identity as Democrats. The identity of the members joining the group will not be revealed. The group will not be registered in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) either.

Dr Murad Raas, an important member of the Democrats group, said that they would make their identity as a separate group. He said they would not join the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He said they were in touch with all the people.

Earlier on Saturday, amid political activities ongoing in Lahore, former Azad Jammu and Kashmir prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas had a meeting with Jahangir Khan Tareen.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the future political scenario. Faisal Hayat Jiwana and Ajmal Cheema of Tareen Group also joined the meeting.

Later, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas while talking to media, said that a good news was on the way for PTI members looking for a position of leadership in other parties. “You will hear good news in days to come. Our understanding with Jahangir Tareen is that we will move forward together,” he said.

He said several meetings had been held in the last few days. Mr ilyas said he also had meetings with Chaudhry Shujaat and Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq.
Responding to a question, Ilyas said work was underway regarding the formation of a new party.

“There will be no separate group and all people will be together in one place.” On this occasion, Numan Langriyal said that the events of May 9 should be condemned vehemently.
“A lot of people have contacted us. We will welcome those who leave PTI and its ideology,” he added.

Senior politician and former leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf Jahangir Tareen has also convened an important meeting of close associates in Lahore today to hold consultations.
Inclusion of new members, besides formation of a new political party will be discussed in the meetings.

It should be noted that Jahangir Tareen had met other political leaders including Firdous Ashiq Awan in the past few days.

PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub on Wednes*day issued him the show cause notice and asked him to explain his position in writing within seven days of this notice. “It has come to the notice of the party leadership that you are contact*ing party members and inciting them to leave the party,” reads the notification and added, “In view of these reported activities, you are hereby called to explain yourself in writing within seven days of this notice.” The notice says that if his reply is found unsatisfactory or he doesn’t respond, further ac*tion will be taken against him as per party policy and rules. Earlier this month, Khattak had resigned from the position of PTI’s provin*cial president in KP saying that the present political situation had made it impossible for him to continue with his position. Exactly. People being short sighted here don't see the long-term implication of this battle between IK and Establishment. Let all of them leave. It makes no difference and they know it. The JKT party went tuss even before its launch. Let the ISI force all the guys that they are blackmailing into leaving. IK may not come back and the odds are against him, but if he does, he will owe no one anything. He needs to Nuke these criminal institutions and start from scratch- reform the army into an army and not property developers that rule the country and are above the law, sack everyone of the Punjab Police and Sindh Police and rehire new people, reform the ISI into an intelligence agency and not a porn production company. Sack the bureaucracy and rehire. Reform the Sc into 2 bodies- one for constitutional issues and one as a court of final appeal. If we don't reform, then in a 100 or 200 years time, we will be just as useless and even poorer.

The Pak Army has given the message to the people of Pakistan i.e. they will go to any extent to subdue the population, are the people of Pakistan willing to come out in mass numbers and are prepared to risk and put everything on the line?

I think he is still in the game. It will be Nawaz vs Bilawal. This will come down to which party can bribe independents and the IPP in their favour.

Its a matter of time establishment will run to him because he is the only one who is capable of attracting huge dollars. Overseas Pakistanis love him and they will pour their money for the betterment on his call. Hafiz will need money to survive and I fail to understand his dumb mind who is perhaps daydreaming of Bhagora or Billo turning this country into Amreeka one day. The country of 250 million people has to pay $25B in loans next year and they are broke and miserable. They have no money to cover interest.
