How should PCB react to Bangladesh's absence from the T20I World Cup 2026, following their refusal to play matches in India?

The entire south asian corridor is a clown show. Pakistan has already fought their battle and got the hybrid structure by not playing in India. No reason to boycott the world cup at all.

It was too late. Should have conveyed that before the schedule was announced

Now changing venues wud be logistical nightmare. Also once Ireland refused to swap groups - there was little ICC could do

Tough luck butbu cannot expect venues to be changed at the last moment. Same thing happened to Australia & West Indies in 1996 WC when they refused to play in Colombo
May be you are right.

Nevertheless, Bangladesh cricket may face many challenges in coming days .There may be sanctions on us, cut short of money, countries not traveling or inviting Bangladesh etc. But personally I feel peace inside though I m a big lover of cricket and love to see Bangladesh in action. I shall greatly miss this world cup. But at the end of day, cricket is not above all . At least Bangladesh could protest ICC's injustice and nepotism though they lost the battle.

ICC was far better and more democratic when an Indian like Jagmahon Dalmia and another Indian (I forgot his name , probably Bindra) was at the top of this institution . But things changed as some autocratic, corrupt and lunatics and fanatics came in power of India and BCCI. Rip cricket

Pakistan toured India in 2023 but in return India boycotted Pakistan in champion trophy in 2025. What a country!! This is India and this is ICC. For only India they started hybrid model spending a lot of money whereas all the countries safely toured Pakistan including us without any security threats. But but India found security issues. They backstabbed Pakistan. They raped world cricket.

Whereas we only wanted to shift the matches in co-host Srilanka ,we didn't demand any hybrid like in CT . Just ICC had to reshuffle one country like Ireland in group. But they didn't. I mean Indian cricket council.
The security of India and Pak are not comparable and a false equivalence. Even Bangladesh, WI B and SL C teams (not that if someone is a lesser important player they deserve less security ) get presidential level security and roads are quarantined off during games.

In India No team except maybe Pakistan get extra presenditial level security.

So it’s not a valid apples to apples comparison.

BCB has taken a courageous stance and should be lauded. Even if it bites in the short term, BCB will come out on top in the long run.

Which countries invites Bangladesh anyway? BCB was fooling it's fan all these times with bunch of BD vs ZIM/IRE/AFG/NED matches, and zero trophies or significant wins to vouch for. This might be a huge loss for BCB but a great win for the fans.

Now, they better get serious and start delivering results..SOON. Otherwise, they will become complete obsolete in upcoming years.

Please don't mix with this Mustafiz scenario with that of Pakistan players being banned in IPL.

Pakistani players were banned before starting of auction but Mustafiz was bought in Auction and then this happened. Before his release there were life threats and protests from Hindu fundamentalists and then suddenly BCCI ordered IPL to release him saying due to "recent developments all around". This clearly state that BCCI was not confident to give Mustafiz security and security reasons was the reason. If it was due to only a political decision, IPL would never take Bangladeshi players into auction like what they did to Pakistani players. And Bangladesh or Bangladeshi people didn't do any such extra thing in this period (between auction and release) which made the relationship more cold between India and Bangladesh.

Brother we can agree to disagree. I 100% agree - what happen to Mustafizur is not good. He has no fault in any of this and from outside he looks like a great guy. However, its a different story that you will never accept what is happening with Hindus in your country is very bad...even though British MPs have raised it in the House of Commons. Everyday we hear Hindus are getting killed and their festivals are attacked by goons of Yunus Govt. You will never condemn those and Bangladeshis who speak against them...you guys call them Dalal, Rajakar and Indian agent.

Bangladesh was fastest growing econony from Sub continent even couple of years ago. Your cricket team was flourishing. Due to people like you, it has become another Pakistan (aka cesspot).

Congrats bro...enjoy the WT20 from home.
