Not long to go to toss for the tournament opener

Good luck to Bangladesh but I don't see them winning it against this England side

Finally some real cricket! Hoping for a cracker.

Really wish Tamim, Mahmudullah, Mustafizur, Root, Woakes and Moeen all have good games. Need them to fire for my fantasy team! :ik2

It's going to be one sided match if england bat first they will score more than 330 Bangladesh can't chase more than 300.Supporting mustafizur and england team

Hate Bangladesh with a passion but really hoping its not a one-sided affair.

Given the recent history and recent matches between the two as well as looking upon the current squads I'd say Eng are going to win comfortably.

England are the better team but Bangladesh are no pushovers. We beat them in the previous occasions in ICC events. Hope to repeat it.

Shakib Riad Fizz Tamim Mushy Rubel Mash all need to rise to the occasion. Time for Soumya Sabbir and Mosaddek to show that we posses serious talent

MMHS Bangladesh once again losing a toss when it matters.

England won the toss and chose to field.

Looks a flat track, and the sun is out. Bangladesh should be looking for at least 300 if they want to make this competitive.

Miraz dropped for Imrul. We needed a good offie against English lefties - 3 of them

Does Mahmudullah really come in at #7? I know other players have better stats than him but he really seems to have matured over the years and I consider him their best batsman after Tamim.

Or I'm just being biased towards him because of his inclusion in my fantasy team. :))

Really disappointing start was looking forward to watching England smash 400 and put this arrogant bd lot into its deserving place, now bd will limp to sub par 280 score and poms will chase that in 45 overs or less but it won't be as much fun.

Terrible decision.

The warm-up game definitely brought back some demons, hence the decision to play a proper batsman (still consider Miraz a better batsman than Imrul). Miraz definitely deserves to be in the line up.

Our Captain (s) are good at winning practice toss - from NZ to IND to IRL to CT, won almost every toss.

This one is a killer one though - hope it doesn't end like Poms batting before lunch.

Morning all. In the Royal London One-Day Cup this year, 244 is the average score for the side batting first at The Oval.

He bowled exceptionally well against the best players of spin. England would struggle against him. Our bowling resources are thin

It could be a blessing in disguise. Bangladesh are better setting a target and defending it. Conditions are also sunny so batting won't be too difficult.

Let's see what happens. We need to bat well at first. No excuses.

England opting to bowl first.
Good bye Campaign CT for England.

England to lose by 40 runs chasing 290.

What a boring atmosphere in the ground. Typical English crowd.

Compare this to the crowd on June 4.

Tamim clearly playing like he knows how important his wicket is.

Love watching Mark Wood bowl. Serious talent, much better than what his record shows. Hope he stays fit.

Wood is world class. If he remains fit boy could he do some damage.

Bdesh needs to be at 40/1 at the end of 10 overs.

They can up the ante if they have wickets in hand, don't be at 20/3 or 50/5 early on.

40% tickets of this match has been bought by Bangladeshis and 52% by home crowd. We are a passionate cricket crazy nation.

They are going in that way.Prevent the collapse first as both these two teams did in their respective last game.

Looks like Taskin/Asia's best bowler(potentially) isn't even in the XI :))

Surprisingly, ENG hasn't started with short staff, probably for the moisture on the surface.

This type of batting approach for a lengthy period may be self destructive which is often adopted by Pakistan.Whenever they will attempt to up the tempo,if they loose wickets then this wickets conserving theory will be boomerang.

Lol. This guy Imrul Kaye's is still playing? Utter rubbish. Was getting bounced out by Mohit Sharma last World Cup. BD posters is there seriously no one better than this guy?

Imrul is a good batsman, scored a century against England in last series.

Pakistan would have gotten destroyed by posters here if they started like this

Sedate start. Now time to attack given we have 8 quality batsman and even our no. 8 batsman is a potentially world class player.

Wrist slitting.

However Pakistan don't have too many big hitters in the side so it's important to have a good start. The likes of Tamim and Sarkar can easily pick up the pace.
