Siraj can be good as a new ball.bowler. Arshdeep can leak runs, Bumrah only bowls one. I think Siraj can bowl 2 new swinging overs. Fielding will suffer but Jadeja is pretty much useless at this point

....you have pace, swing & spin...
Somehow if U harness this properly, remove the aggro & posturing & focus on big pic, get a good bowling coach - improve pitches & get the right mix of intensity & aggro ..get some skills - no reason why Bangla cannot do much much better than what U r doing ...you have the passion, the following - if U invest in your 'A' level teams & age group cric -surely that's one way to succeed better...

They are a sports nation, look at them playing field hockey. It’s in their DNA.
Kiwis are same too but less population.

Even in IT Aus has really good companies, these countries contribute a lot per capita in every field and still never get hyped as its just a way of life.

Shakib was never A caliber. He had an outstanding A+ caliber tournament in 2019 Cricket world cup. Outside of it shakib have been average

Fielding plays a major role in their success. Also they find heroes in every players. 1996 semi final they were 15/4 against West Indies. Stuart law and bevan i think scratched around they posted 207. West Indies was 165/1 at one stage. Then they imploded and lost the match. IN 1987 England was going great guns. Then out of nowhere Border brought himself on, Gatting played a reverse sweep and got out. In 2003 against NZ they were like 97/7 or something. Andy Bichel played a blinder and also took 7 wickets. Against Pakistan they were 146/5 Symonds took control of it. Against England alsot hey struggled. Once against Bichel stepped up.

If we talk about 2023 against NZ they almost let NZ chase 382 runs. Last over starc started horribly with 5 wides. Then Labuscaghne saved 2 ceretain boundaries brilliantly. Those two saves prevented them from losing the match. Same way Afghanistan gave one chance Maxie took advantage of it. Small things like this made sure they had enough points to get to next round. If those things had not happened they would not ahve reached semi final.

They weren't meek at all, brother . Congrats for calling that. Tanzim and Rishad were extremely aggressive but nothing can bridge a gap in talent and teams like PAK, BD, AFG should know this by now.
 
Why these captains and team management are so dumb.
Why do they want to chase on these kinds of wickets in day game.
Chasing on these pitches in day games is almost impossible.

Hridoy got his first challenge today, this is big leagues.
 
If BD can beat Afghanistan, they can finish Super 8 as #6.

That would be a par performance.

It's the attitude. Every player believes he's a match winner in that aussie team. Another very important point is they aren't as much under pressure as subcontinent players. If they lose they lose and they lost a lot of games in the last decade. Subcontinent teams are one sport teams and there's lots of pressure. Third, there's not much competition for spots. Some of these aussie players failed a lot and are still in the team. When you know your spot is secure, when you are mentally strong and are a well gelled unit, you win more often
 
Wrist spinners these days are coming with striking ability. Only India doesn't seem to have a wrist spinning all rounder.
 
I can't remember Bumrah bowling a single yorker in this tournament. That is his main weapon. Usually he has a reason for ths. Not sure what it is.
 
India is in the SF. Nobody in the group can beat this RR

Maybe PAK and BD should send a combined XI next time to make sure you can at least beat a team with an Oracle engineer as their best player? 🤔
 
What happened to the guy Mehidy hasan? He is an all rounder right. He can open occasionally. He almost won a test agianst India.

Yea.. i know the match he is talking about Ravi.. Bumrah took 5 for 7 against West Indies in the test match. He absolutely blitzed West Indies top order.

If BD can reach 160, I would say batters did okay. Reaching 150-160 against an Indian attack with Bumrah and Kuldeep. Not bad for BD.

Bowlers flopped hard today.

That wrist snap way in front of his body is what confuses batsman when facing Bumrah. The batsman are used to judging the line and length at the release point in general. But this with delayed release from.Bumrah, batsmen are either late or too early. Lesser batsmen try to compensate by playing early. The subtle changes in pace are another reason. Add to that the varying lengths which are tough to judge because of the delayed release.
 
Mahmudullah is a decent ODI batsman. But i don't think BD has produced any T20 specialist batsman in their history.

I expected a better fight from BD. BD did better against India in the past few ICC events.
 
Arshdeep keeps pickign wickets. Now he is officially the highest pace bowling wicket taker in world T20 history of India. 22 wickets.
 
Not sure at 40 years old what they wanted Mahmudullah to do.

As I said they've not even got 150.

50 run win for India and into the semis.
 
Disappointing world cup.for BD even though conditions weren't beyond them for the most part. 3 or 4 interesting players that will have good future though. Wins against SL, Ned and Nepal overall. Close game against SF but overall a poor campaign as a team
