His pace has gone down after his ankle injury.
70 mph..... Seriously, why is he opening the bowling
It's his day. Never use to seeing 70 mph opening the bowling. Lucky for him it's moving at that paceHope you got your answer.

Trundler army.
No one is expecting 145ks from them but I don't think it will be hard to find someone bowling in late 130s with occasional 140iah deliveries with good control

140kph bowlers at u19 level are very rare. How many u19Pakistani bowlers Can u name from the past who bowled at 140 clicks? Hardly any.
Btw Sameen gul has clocked 140kph in the past going by what people say here.

Yep, but year back he got ankle injury during England tour, i assume it has effected his pace.
Either Bangladesh or England..Do you know how the semi-finals will pan out? Assuming Pakistan win this match and the quarter-final, and England, Bangladesh, and India are the other 3 semi-finalists, who will Pakistan play?
I think he might be this pace, we get overestimation at times from coaches
Yes thats what i heard. Hopefully he can gain back that pace. If he is really 16 years old then he is still growing and will grow into his final form at age 19. Then we can judge better what pace he will bowl at in his career.Yep, but year back he got ankle injury during England tour, i assume it has effected his pace.
Noone other than Amir has clocked 140kph+ at U19 level from what i have seen
Zia was quick in 2012 at 135-139 kph but slowed down in 2014
Ray of hope!!!! Mohsin and Nawaz can be our next all rounders replacing Anwar Ali and Yamin
Mohsin is too slow, 10 kph slower than Anwar and Yamin

The winner of this match will play WI and the loser will play England, we know which team everyone would rather face. However, even if Pak/SL loses this you will expect them to beat England and would likely to face Bangladesh in the semi-finals. I think if Pak/SL wins this, they will face WI next match but will have to face India in the semi-finals. Now they have to face one of the favourites in the semi-final but the best option would be to win today, and beat WI rather than losing today and beating England.
SO it is
1) Win today, beat West Indies and face India in the SF, India are the best team in this competition
2) Lose today, face England and beat them, face Bangladesh in the SF. Now that is a big NO-NO because if you lose today, you not only lose confidence and momentum but you face two tougher teams - England/BD compared to WI/India. Keep in mind, BD are hosts and it will be tough because for the first time in their life they will be cheered against by a crowd.
So yes, in a way this is a very crucial match for both teams. Win today, WI are an easy team to beat no offence and then go on to face India with full momentum. You definitely don't want to face England with red hot form nor do you want to face BD on a jam packed stadium.
