ICC World Cup 2023: India (229/9) remain unbeaten as they win against England (129) by 100 runs

India collapsing, the batting depth weaknesses after losing Pandya are coming to haunt them

Und
T20I is the only format where Pakistan can challenge India.
They can win random matches here and there in ODIs.
But, they have no ability and fitness to beat India in test matches
Under misbah we would challenge india in u a.e.

Do you know that Indian cricketer Krishnamachari srikanth was once about to stabbed in Pakistan? Lol, you're just a google away. Stabbing a cricketer, wow..!! Levels!!

Bumrah is a capable batsman. Still remember how he smoked Shaheen Afridi in Asia cup Game 1

Everything is upto Indian bowling. Well they have the resources for it...

England should do calculated Bazball, should target particular bowlers & particular phases of the game (target first 5th to 15th over for scoring, target Siraj, target Kuldeep in the opening spell... Play safely against Bumrah in first & last spell, safely against Shami in initial overs of last spell... Don't attack too much but don't defend too much either - keep rotating strike)

England's NRR is extremely bad. Good opportunity for them to repair it a bit.

How many games this WC teams have failed to play full 50 overs, sponsors will be keeping an eye on it, future of 50 overs is bleak

Like India should have done. England just needs to play conventional cricket. Punish any loose balls, push the singles, run hard.

Bazball will lose them the game unless the conditions change enough.

This game has no context therefore no motivation of Indian players, they are already through Eng already out

Well bowled, Adil.

His average against India coming into this ODI was 50. He's been terrific today.

For everything you claim, I can show an exception too. Indian crowd used to be rowdy in the 90s maybe. Now there's a bit of a sporting culture.

Round Robin is waste of time, a drag have 16 teams 4 in 4 , top 2 goes to K.Os simple , cricket is a knock out game not a league format :inti

Indian crowd has a history from orange peels to bottle thrown to invasion to bust up to pitch digging too much hostility

Agreed. Rohit bhaiyya and kohli can't play spin swing still.
I wish more series were played in neutral venue. Pakistan vs India series in England would have been absolutely block buster back in the day. I’d back us - enough said. No one will ever forget that 2014 tour.

India can still win hear, England batting has been the worst in the tournament so far. But then again, England could also chase it in 20 overs. Who knows.

Back in 03 even Warne bachelor and Lee could bat a bit. Just saying.

Warne can score 15 20 runs.
Lee can hit 15 20 runs
Bichel
20 runs.

Futuristic Aussies. No wonder they won 3 in a row.

Can't have mugs at 8 and 9. Elite world class bowlers like Warne could bat and lee(odi great).

I prefer the round robin format. To be the best you have to beat the best, to establish the best everyone has to play everyone.

Great fielding by Rashid.

This game is probably career defining for Iyer. Indian top 7 doesn’t have a lefty - May be they can drop Iyer, keep SKY at 6, promote KL to 4 & play Kishan in between.

Indian bowling attack is more versatile and penitrating. Hence England have to be carefull.. Yes Indian batting did not approach properly today...

This was a test for India batting first. The other day was the test for SA chasing. We don't need a toss when these two teams play.

You shouldnt have to refuse singles with only 7 down. Bumrah is a number 10 or 11 but batting two spots higher. This is a weakness that will get exploited in the knockout stages

England making it less likely than Pakistan making it and Pakistan's chances are pretty low themselves
This game has basically no effect on who qualifies. In fact, England winning most of their remaining games would be amazing for us.

That would be perfect!!

Yep. Can't be a tail ender from number 8 lmao.

Pretty bad.

What the hell is sky doing? If he want to take single than why he refused on first ball .

Could someone please explain to me what happens to SKY in ODIs? In T20s he plays the most ridiculous shots I’ve ever seen, a truly incredible incredible player. But as soon as ODIs start he looks just so ordinary and fails so often? He fails so much that usually he doesn’t even make it into the team!

Now I see how bhuvi kumar conned his way into starting 11 for India over the years. Plating on such pitches would help trundlers

It does in a way. Playing Aussies at Wankhede is scary. Instead it's better to play them at Ahmedabad. Aussies will be second or third. India needs to be first to avoid them in the SF

It’s so strange, literally goes from ABD 2.0 to a guy who looks like he forgot how to bat. How does that even happen?

ICC won't repeat this format again.
2007 world cup proved disaster when India and Pakistan were knocked out in group stages.

It is. Arguably the best attack in the world IMO.

However, an achievable target (like the one India is on course for) should be comfortable for most teams to chase, especially a team that possesses England's quality.

England just needs to bad sensibly.

What does that have do with Pakistan’s chances though?

He can be dangerous with 10 overs left in the game T20 or ODI'S.

Stupid to bowl at legside against SKY, just bowl wider ones on 5th stump.

Commentators too desperate to hype up SKY right now. “He’s in that kind of mood” what kind of mood are you talking about? He’s playing a very average innings.

One word- improve your cricketing knowledge

This is a good knock TBH. He's helped carry India to a fighting total.

Bro his ODI record is horrendous, and in T20 he has one of the best records ever. Why is there such a big difference?
Not played ODI's regularly. Small sample size to judge. Needs a licence to go for his innovative shots. Certainly not a top order player.
India tried him at 3 in one series against Aus and he produced 3 golden ducks.

India need a minimum of 250 to pose any threat. And that only if dew is not a factor

Bumrah has smashed broad for 35 runs in a single over .Indian tail is good enough for test but not for limited overs

Bumrah is a fast learner. He was competing with Chahal in terms of pure batting around 2019 and now he is well ahead of him.
