Oram ruled out by stomach bug

New Zealand Cricket announced that Jacob Oram has been ruled out of today’s Super 8 match against England in Pallekele.

Oram displayed symptoms consistent with gastro-enteritis and his condition quickly deteriorated after arriving at the ground.

He has returned to the team hotel and will be replaced in the starting eleven by Doug Bracewell.

Yeah, they can put away weaker sides like the Afghans and NZzzzzzz, but will crumple up against anyone better.

Kieswetter is unreliable, and I think Wright is too high in the order.

Probably a bit too early in the careers of some of their batters, though Hayles, Bairstow and Buttler have fine careers ahead, I expect.
