To be honest its not a joke.

Irrespective of Babars stats in ODIs which are way better than Rahul's, I think Babar is a special talent but if he can only get the mindset which Rahul has intentionally worked on over the last 6 months he will amazing.
 
Rahul also added lap/scoop/reverse shots in his game which makes him even more dangerous.
Kohli should move to no.4 permanently now to give rahul maximum time at no.3
 
KL Rahul can do this easy, but he has to show off.

Won't happen in odis. Rahul will have to open or bat at 4.

Rahul himself and his team management has wasted atleast 4-5 years of his career.

Yes at the moment there are in terms of being destructive however, Babar is no 1 ranked but I know he is not the most destructive aroudn. I completely agree but I think Babar can do a lot more, he has got so much more than he expresses. He just needs bit of confidence and needs to work on his mindset.

When a guy is averaging in his 50s in ODIs with a SR of over 85 and I am still saying that he can improve in all formats is becz I think he has the potential to become a beast but he needs to realize that.

Let kl rahul open in odis and he will score double hundred for sure.

I know and that is why I am blaming him as well but its still ok that he realized that as many talented players die wondering what went wrong with their career.
 
Someone in the Indian team management clearly has to take the blame for coming in the way oh Rahul's growth and not giving him the opportunities in the past.

We have been denied this for too long.

England needs to realize that with only 2 lefties in Indian batting lineup, which will reduce to 1 in ODIs they cant boss by giving Moen the ball as they did against non asian sides. They need a sixth bowler and play with at least 4 seamers.

It isnt a reality check. Its a clear reality for past couple of years that their bowling is not good enough, they dont have any x factor like Amir, Starc, Rabada, Hassan, Stanlake Kuldeep, Rashid Khan etc so their batting has to perform and batting faltered on this flat track.

Only thing they have close to X factor is Adil Rashid (Against non Asian teams mostly), Plukett and Wood against Asian teams. Willey only provides bit of that with the new ball. Woakes and Stokes unavailability isnt helping either. But to be honest they have nothing like the few mentioned in the above paragraph.

Rahul deserves a century. Hopefully Kohli does not score more than 10 runs from here in this match.

England will have to really work hard in bowling & batsman just can't be so clueless against leg spin. Rohit should be dropped and kl must open in odis.
 
WOW. India dismantled England. Kuldeep really turned the game for India and the batsman done the rest. Well done Lokesh Rahul.
 
He was so elegant to watch. But Rohit was not exactly in total control. Wonder Rahul masked a few flaws with his outrageous batting. Also Bhuvi was so off color.

Indian batting is fine. We need a blazing WK batsman to complete the team.

Though MSD is still a great keeper, his batting has regressed so much that he has become a hindrance to the team. I still like his field placement and keeping. But India has not move on from him.

Hopeing someone like Pant or Ishan Kishan or Samson click like KL Rahul take over from Dhoni. That will make Indian team literally unbeatable.

We already have 2 exciting teens in Gill and Shaw who in many countries would have debuted by now. Since Indian team is so stacked, its hard for anyone to break into the lineup.

If we don't have quality keeper who can keep with our spinners, I would take MSD over anyone.

Time to groom a young keeper at least in T20 format. MSD can play 2019 WC. But if he is gone after 2019 WC, we will left with no youngster with enough experience to keep to our own spinners.

MSD should retire from T20's immediately.

Pant finally came good in this A tour.Finished off a chase in the final against English Lions with Krunal Pandya and I am slowly changing my opinion on him.Also we had Shaw,Gill, Mayank Agarwal and Hanuma Vihari batting brilliantly in the tour.So plenty of batting firepower waiting on the bench.
 
Well done India! After Kuldeep started to click I knew it was India's game! Great performance by Rahul and congratz to all the Indian supporters!

That's the best part of playing two specialist spinners. High chances that both will click or either of these, rarely both will fail. Something Pakistan need to do.
 
One of the most hollow victories in recent memory. England boys were more focused (rightfully so) on the world cup game. Before the game started, they ran away with the game in the first 5 overs of their innings. Then focused shifted, understandably. Fluke is the word that comes to mind today.

The bowling is weak, Kuldeep was a surprise who will found out next game, and the batting can only play on flat tracks. Next game it will all come crashing down.

Bang on...I totally agree. Probably a BCCI = ICC conspiracy to schedule a T20 match when the world cup match was going on.
 
Good win for India. I was surprised how easy it was. England have a great batting team, they will for sure bounce back. The problem for them is that India are not going to be too far with their batting as well. This series will definitely be interesting.
