This is not the banana swing that Waqar used to get. Just tailing in a little with the angle.
No bottle tops available else Bumrah would have cleaned up the English batting by now.

Malan was making the pitch look like a minefield. Probably good for England that he was dismissed. He was single handedly taking an Eng win out of the equation.

Moeen Ali was also a liability during the 2019 WC. Dropping him only helped England's cause.
England need to move on from him.
C'mon Bro, am indian but lets not infer that bottle tops gave waqqr 300 odd wickets.
He still had talent, rocket speed, accuracy, attitude and simply was a genius.
The two W's were my idols as well as of several others, lets appreciate magic and brilliance for what it is ...
It’s been a long time since we have seen reverse swing bowling of this quality at the Oval, or indeed anywhere in England. This is rare and it is special. Enjoy it.
Its a heartening sight for us guys too, at least you have the Anderson & broad specials every season for the last so many years...and considering the likes of woakes, robinson, as well as the half a dozen who are injured, i'd say english pace bowling stocks are all time high and should serve you well - come the ashes...but ca'nt say the same abbout ur spin...
Woakes has a pretty robust technique tbh, he looks a better and more comfortable player at the crease than most of our specialist batters.

Lol. You can say what you want. It is what it is.
Yep. I'd still say Waqar Younis makes the all time teams of most crick followers. Across most eras.
I was surprised to see Moeen sent ahead of Woakes. Moeen and Bairstow both are weak in defense.

Does wicket needs to be slow for reverse swing? Even on this wicket, there was no reverse swing on first three days. I don't know the science behind pitch's contribution in reverse swing. I am just asking for knowledge. I have never seen reverse swing on green wickets regardless of skill of the bowler.

I must say Root is pathetic captain. He knew how good Indians were at applying pressure on the last day at Lords yet he chose to bowl first again. He's been asking for too much from his aweful batsmen.

If these two can bat 30 overs then Eng will be closer to save this test.

Eng lost 4 wickets for 18 runs. about 6 to 7 overs. Only Rain can save England. Happy to be proven wrong
What are the odds of English victory here?
Miracle aside its either India win (More chance) or a draw
At this point, it looks a miracle for a draw too.
What do the gr8 minds think, will they take new ball at 80 ov? or take it at 85-87 - to keep jazz boom fresh for the new ball and continue with jads at one end and try thakur perhaps?

Joe Root is like Sachin Tendulkar. Great batsman and lone warrior in a weak team but not great captain. He is going through a Bradmanesque phase but this is the phase where they lost the series to New Zealand and it is not looking good now vs India at this point.

Siraj is useless after first 2 test
I see great potential in him he can became india's frontline bowler in LOI's
Shardul is gonna strike.
Shardul is gonna strike.
wow. You got it
No team in men's Test history have made more ducks against a single opponent than England have against India this year.
England v India, 2021: 30 ducks
India v West Indies, 1983: 27 ducks
Australia v West Indies, 1984: 26 ducks

Remember many of those wickets. Sheer terror those windies
