India [340/6] beat Australia [304] by 36 runs in the 2nd ODI, level series 1-1

If India doesn't defend 340 today with the available bowlers, clown should hand over the captaincy to Rohit and play as a batsman henceforth.
 
This is a good batting wicket. You have to force them to take chance. They are taking far too many singles.
 
Shamis real age showing. Under lights, it's very difficult to defend totals against batsmen of this quality.
 
Field set is not right.You cannot allow this many singles at will. Many inexperirnced teams dont know the value of singles. But not Australia.

I don't know the number but after England beat India in the WC , India didn't play them together as often.

Don't understand why when they did so well the months before.
 
India still have a good chance of winning this game. They need to dismiss these 2 quickly though.
 
If Labuschagne wins this for Australia he’s automatically better than babar or rahul or any other batsman after kohli

If you think depending on each other only can bring them success, then they don't belong at this level.
 
Labuschagne looks right at home in ODI cricket. A wonderful find for Australia. This match could go to the wire but I believe Bumrah’s second spell will settle it for India.
 
Shami bhai has gone for over 100 runs in some 14 overs in this series so far. Expensive.
 
Kuldeep is fantastic but he needs to be dropped to get his rhythm back. India should give Ashwin another go.

Kuldeep is capable of playing as a lone spinner. I think they were doing well together so don't agree with dropping Chahal after 1 bad game.

Shami is lethal when the ball reverses. These aren’t the right conditions for him. He will slowly but surely be pigeon-holed as a Test specialist. He cannot last till the 2023 World Cup.

He has already done a terrific job for India in ODIs, but every players go through a rough spell. Ability wise he is still the best ODI spinner at the moment.
 
I don't believe in Shami's death bowling skills! Bumrah alone can't do it. This match is as good as over. Clown deserves this humiliation.
 
Third match is on another patta wicket. This is terrible series. No pitch is helpful for bowlers
 
Tim Paine doesn't have long left in international cricket. Aaron Finch is 33 , Labuschange is scoring 2 formats now. He could be the next Australian captain.

Don't think he will last that long . We need to find a good crop of young fast bowlers for tests atleast . Bowling on such flat pitches is a nightmare for even the best of bowlers . Even Starc got hammered here.

umpire's call Smith survived !! with the amount of shuffling he does he should be out leg before a lot more lol Umpires don't give him out.
 
So it’s a T20 game from here. 170 needed from 20 overs. Tough chase, but not impossible.

Decent outing for a debutant. Ran well. He belongs at 4. Nothing less. Don't think he can play like Maxwell.
 
Very poor. Carey is class, unsure after that. Probably had to get out though to accelerate

Just like Kohli did. It happens in one dayers. After running so many singles probably he was tired and mistimed. ONe dayers is tough in a way. You have to pace the innings right way.

Indian fielding looks amaturish with guys like Bumrah, Chahal, Kuldeep. This is one area they have to improve dramatically.

Why is Handscomb not finding a spot in this line up? DO they actually need 5 full time bowlers? What about Mith Marsh?
 
Win or loss, this is a poor australian team in long term. You can get away with top heavy batting line up in Indian conditions. Not everywhere. They have to get the balance right. They face same situation as INdia. Unable to find solid 5,6,7.
 
India could do with an Arun Lal or Romesh Powar in this match.
 
The only way for Aus to win is for Carey or Turner to produce something similar to Rahul's knock.
 
Delhi Daredevils have Carey , Pant, Hetmyer , Dhwaan, Iyer, and Roy all to choose from .
 
Kuldeep's bowling average has deteriorated quite a lot in recent times.

Boundaries are very short kuldeeps overs will define the game he might pick up a few wickets cause batsman have to slog now and than his fans will go gaga over him again
 
Kudeep averaged 34.69 with the ball in 2019 with an eco of 5.34. 2020 hasnt started that well too.

Bumrah is undoubtedly the best bowler India has and when is full rhythm one of the best if not the best death bowler in the world at the moment.
