Showing Ravi Shastri, the current water boy, hitting 206 in Sydney 1991-92, smashing Aussi bowlers all round the park, the only double century made by Indian test batsmen till date.

Rohit has a very Sehwag like Lazyness ,absolute detest his attitude towards test cricket.
Indian opener you mean, Sachin has a 241
Dravid also has a 233 at Adelaide.
Hmm Guess the umpires are going to give decisions against us meaning onfield decisions would stay.. better watch out

Reiffel is fair and pretty good this series.
Despite all his failures in first 2 tests, it was really harsh on Mayank to get dropped for Rohit on a flat deck like this.Rohit Sharma is a crap test player
What a batsman Gill is, gets so solidly behind the ball! His non selection in the first test was such a fraud by Kohli!
I thought Kohli will be better but he is a bigger schemer than Dhoni ever was!It was strategic, he doesnt want his place as a superstar of team get hurt)
Isn't he struggling against everyone?Pujara also struggling against Lyon

Not only that, he was made VC in tests straightaway which was a travesty.Exactly. If I understand correctly, Mayank Aggrawal has a great FC record - it would have been better to stick with him than Rohit who is a TTF in tests.

Or even Pujara. No way Rohit deserves to be our VC in tests.Rohit is the VC in tests ?? Why not Ashwin?
Excuses on the ready...

Of course Shaw who was pedestrian even in the tour game while Gill did well in that game.Who could he have played in place of?

Even though he proved to be crap in the only practice game before the first test and his only rival outbatting him comfortably in that game?Shaw found himself out of the team due to injury. You can't drop him without giving him the chance to prove himself again.

Playing straight away without match practice is not easy for any test opener.
Actually Rohit looks solid but unfortunate out.
He just need to control his nerves.
And lot of water has flown under the bridge since that injury. I know it may have been tad unfair on him but he has only himself to blame for this, with his weight issues, poor form in IPL, practice game which correctly or incorrectly has become a parameter for selection even in tests.Shaw found himself out of the team due to injury. Agree with this.No he was not solid, he was struggling against Lyon. Infact, he has a terrible record against Lyon. This track is as flat as a road-roller & tailor made for Sharma, yet he was struggling. If lack of match practice was to be used as an excuse, then better play somebody else.
We are allowing Australia to dictate terms, perhaps playing for stumps.Pujara should get on the move here.

This strategy is ok as long as they can put the bowlers out on the field as long as they can. There is very little chance of winning here . Only thing India can do is waste as much time as possible force Australian quicks to expend as much energy as possible and fight out a draw
No excuses for a team lost by an innings and 176 runsJust like the million and one excuses we keep hearing about 50/50 decisions going against Pakistan whenever thet step out of Pakistn/UAE
