India trail by 100 runs as they reach 77/1 after bowling out Australia for 177 on Day 1

Kuldeep should have been playing in place of Axar.
Not impressed with team selection.

So forget Indian spinners, Aussie bats can't even negotiate our pacers.

Lol at sooks

Shami you chitah!!!!

:aag

'Thake hue' Aussies openers out before sun really shines on Nagpur.

Loved the way how Warner's off stump went for an almighty walk.

Even when our pitches gave Pakistani level bounce, it still skids through a lot more.

Siraj is unlucky not to get one more wicket. Found the edge time and again, beat him as well

New ball magic is over. Ball is going gun barrel straight. Batsmen can play through the line and edges won’t carry.

Time to unleash spin demons.

Siraj is so far very penetrative. Shami apart from that one gem of a delivery has been all over the shop

Get sla on against Smith. You have to be quicker to breach Smith's defenses as a seamer.

If Shami had kept attacking the stumps one would have had Smith upfront. But he is bowling crap after that.

Jadeja is in, Manjrekar welcomes him into international cricket.

He has been in good form. Unless he is just a HTB. Looks like the management not having the confidence in him tackling Ashwin.

He is good on bouncy surfaces. On Low bounce, spin playing conditions, he can be trapped LBW by spinners quite easily. Handscomb has scored a lot of runs this Shield season. He is a better option tbh.

They probably tempted to play Unadkat. But in india conditions nobody can reverse better than Shami and Umesh. Siraj is the new addition.
Hell no. Shami is anyday better than Unadkat.

Siraj has been the most dangerous bowler so far. One of the good thing about Siraj is ball doesn't lose much pace compared to other bowlers. It just skids through.

Smith has invented a funky technique meanwhile lol I can't even describe that. Bit like tailender shot.

Siraj is an ideal test bowler. Fast enough, plenty of action on ball, fit, excellent control of line and length, good endurance and mentally tough.

So far Axar has no turn. But if it turns even 1 degree he is going to be dangerous on this low bounce track.

Bumrah would have been so devastating in these conditions.

Aussies are so lucky.

Teams:

Australia (Playing XI): David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith, Matt Renshaw, Peter Handscomb, Alex Carey(w), Pat Cummins(c), Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy, Scott Boland

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Srikar Bharat(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj

Rohit Sharma: We would have batted too. Looks pretty dry. There will be help for spinners. We got to wait and see how much it does. Yesterday when we started training we did see some seam movement for the pacers up front. We have had a good prep for the last 5-6 days. We trained on the aspects in store. This is a big one. We know the importance of the series but we also understand it's about winning one session at a time. It's a long series. Three spinners, two seamers, Bharat and Suryakumar Yadav are debuting.

Australia have won the toss and have opted to bat

Aus still batting after 1 hr??? I thought they would have been AO by now given yesterday's meltdown here. Must be poor bowling surely.

Would’ve played Kishan or even let KL keep.

Bharat is poor man’s Saha.

Lol at least give him a chance.. for you everyone isa poor man of someone.. He has earned his chance with his performances over the last couple of years...

India's spinners are very tight. Very rarely present a loose ball.

Certainly he earned his chances. His keeping in general is very different. Not seen him dive much.

He is wrong. Should have visited PP
