Condemning Indian atrocities in India-held Kashmir, the Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday alleged that India was trying to convert the region into a Muslim minority region.

"Indian forces are committing crimes against humanity which have resulted in the deaths of 15 innocent people in the past week," FO spokesperson Nafees Zakaria stated in the weekly briefing.

India is in grave violation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution on Jammu & Kashmir, UN Charter on Human Rights, said Zakaria.

Earlier this week, the Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh was also summoned over ceasefire violations by India.

Zakaria, on Thursday, appreciated the arrival of the speaker of the South Korean National Assembly, Chung Sye-Kyun, who met the incumbent Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and "expressed keen interest in Korean investments in Pakistan and deepening economic cooperation."

The spokesperson condemned Wednesday's bomb blast in Dir which led to four army personnel being martyred.

So now the Indian Establishment has failed to win over the Kashmiris, they are trying to change the demographic balance of the State and quell the independence movement.

There have been talks about scrapping the special state status of J & K and flooding the state with Indians from rest of the country to outnumber the Kashmiris in their own place. Fascism at it's best.

BJP is on track on this. I will be happy if Kashmiris have a UP/Bihari/Punjabi/Marathi neighbors. People interaction is needed to weed out separatists. The more Kashmiris remain alienated, the more it will burn.

To cut a long story short. The princely state of Kashmir was comprised of many ethnicities, especially Jammu and Azad Kashmir. The ethnic Kashmiris migrated and intermarried and formed new identities. It wasn't just Hindu Kashmiris that migrated. Muslims Kashmiris are found in different parts of Pakistan and India

That's isn't true. Pakistanis can't buy land there, the native of people of AJK were and still are the Potwari-speakers. That's like saying the Kashmiris were turned into a minority in Ladakh or Jammu, when they aren't even native to those lands. The fact that many Indians don't even know about the different ethnicities that live in the Greater Kashmir region is a good enough reason for Kashmir separating from India.

Atleast once in a blue moon look up the constitution of ajk.despite their being no conditional accession pakistan on its own has conferred ajk a special status that is the duplicate copy of jandk constitution.and pm of ajk is still a pm not a cm unlike the one in iok.

Nehru?Lol.Its common knowledge that even after Kashmir aceded to India Nehru didnot want to send troops to Srinagar.Patel forced him saying that J and K is Indian territory now and should be protected at all costs.

Nehru was an idiot to allow art 370 and all his senior colleagues knew it and thats why the original drafter of the constitution Ambedkar refused to draft art 370.

J and K belonged to India and it should have the status of a normal state.

Art 370 will be there till Bjp gets a 2/3rd majority.Art 35A is a goner.

Its Art 35A that stops other Indians from settling in J and K.

All the parts of Section XXI of the constitution are temporary.

Accession happened in 1948 and Art 370 came in 1950.

Indian parliament can amend any part of the constitution and can and will repeal Art 370.It will require a bit of effort yes.

The law which doesnt allow Indians from other places to settle in J and K is Art 35A and it can be repealed easily.

And keep dreaming if you believe anyone can stop India from removing Art 370 if it decides to.

Kashmiris have pretty much thrown everything at India and with the blessings of foreign elements, they have tried their hand at weapons too. What has it yielded them? Zilch.

Even all of South India will be with BJP if it means Kashmir is open for settlement by Indians. India is strong enough military wise as well as financial to undertake anything that may come in Kashmir.

I am no supporter of BJP, but if they scrap that 370 and treat Kashmir like any other state, I and many of Southies support BJP wholeheartedly.

In all honesty Kashmiris also live outside their valley as well to study and work even in Pakistan. In this case as it is IoK it will only inflame the situation further. The Hindu pundit's certainly don't want to return fearing for their lives and safety.
