Pakistan need only 417 to avoid the follow on. Should be gettable as the track is still quite easy to bat on.
 
Inzi must be quite happy as he is playing in ICL today against Lara rather than being on the receiving end of this test match.
 
All I have heard on PP is that Inzy is a useless captain - Younis is far better, and that we are nothing without Shoaib - a supposed Matchwinner (one that has lost 5 of the last 6 games). Quite frankly if this is the promised land that everyone has promised me here on pp then they must be nearly as loony as Shoaib.

We are nothing without Inzy and Asif - period. No more lame excuses - Shoaib is just a sideshow - one that we can do without.

Yes pakistan arent usually good at these sorts of situations. We usually wait till weve lost 6,7 wickets before we form the big partnership. The batsmen just have to take it 1 session at a time.

Commentators are geniunely complimenting a pakistani cricketer, wow i cant believely this is actually happening. :)

Thats how they shud play, if they went into very defensive shell i cant see them playing out Kumble and Bhaji

Well what does Rameez know? It is plainly obvious that he didn't think about his game when he was playing. Why would he? He went to the same school as the skipper and he had a powerful dad and brother. That would be enough to get him in the team - not thinking about what he was actually doing.

7.5 Kumble to Yasir Hameed, OUT, Kumble strikes in his first over! Top spinner on the middle stump and Yasir is caught dead plumb in front. Again, his left foot was pressed too much across and he couldn't get his bat around in time.

well looking at it quickly I think it was the top spinner. In that case yes it can be difficult to play

Anil is not a big turner of the ball so this straight ball his stock ball.l..everyone in pakistan should be able to play..

Pure Conjecture. So what happened when Kumble had a good shout against Butt - the second one which looked out. Why wasn't that given if Kumble has such a hold on umpires.

Younis and Yousuf are both due big knocks and I am counting on them to deliver.
Misbah is in good form.

We need to bat for another 4 sessions this innings.

I dont know about Hawkeye as I have watched the game live - but they (Neo TV) have been very selective in which replays they show & dont show....

over a period of years he seems to get more decisions on the front foot...i cant give u stats but thats how i read it.

Again I return to the fact that he bowls top spinners wicket to wicket, i.e the ball will skid on straight. It doesn't point to some hideous conspiracy involving the umpires.

For day 1 Yes.
 
For PAK to save this game they must avoid the follow on because the pitch is getting very difficult for batting. If they can somehow make IND bat again then Kumble wont be sure when to declare.
 
they have to aviod follow on otherwise it will be a certain defeat. if we avoid follow on we should draw. the morning session will probablt decide the result of this game, if india gt some quik wickets its all over
 
It is essential that Salman and YK do what Jaffar and Dravid did. MoYo will also have to fire and start batting like he's our best batsman!
Pakistan will have to bat all day tomorrow and most of day 4 if they are to save the match. Tomorrow for me will be the day when we either lost the series or managed to fight and keep our hopes alive for Bangalore!
