India's strategy

I have felt for a year or two that India's strategy is to bat other teams out of the game. It make sense that they have such a great batting line up, though today it is working in favor of SA.
 
Zaheer gets boucher ..........OUT caught when trying to score some quick runs
 
*** ? SA DECLARED *********************************.... I was hoping we could rest up and bat out rest of the innings from tommorow... DAMN ITTT
 
I reckon sehwag will get out cheaply to make it difficult for the other batsman
 
1.3Morkel to Gambhir, FOUR!!, that is why he is the No.1 batsman in the world, he knows how to put a juicy full toss away into the boundary! Straight down the ground past the bowler
 
S.A in a very strong position at the end of day 2. India will have to bat for a good 5 sessions to get out of this one.
 
Dreadful stuff from SA.They should have declared about 10 overs ago .. they racked up a meagre 30 runs or so on their last ten overs.Conservative and quite pointless by Smith.

i hope so too but we should remain practical about it. Its impossible for this south african attack on this spinning wicket to get india out for less than 400. I think Sehwag & gambhir will be enough for them as South africa dont have a quality spinner.

Nothing is impossible. If Steyn fires up they can roll them. And India don't have a quality spinner either....

Thats why i am not predicting an indian win either and if south africa can make 500 on this wicket then i think sehwag and gambhir will take india to 400 today. They are 25/0 in 4 overs.
 
Gambhir got Pwnd... enough of his hundreds against mediocre attacks..lol
 
In between overs could hear Shastri asking "The speedometer used, is it consistent enough? Here Steyn's bowling at 131 and Tait was just clocked at 160."
 
Sachin has 35 avg against SA after 21 matches ? That just sounds horrible. I hope he can raise his avg to 40+ at least

he'll have to wait at least till the 2nd innings.

Steyn and Morkel bowling really well.
 
Morkel is very very quick. 150+ consistently!

This is what we call a young batting side, India has 2 out of the 6 batsmen playing their first test and the 3rd batsman is playing his 4th test.

Now compare it to Pak side against Ais which our Kaptan claimed to be young, only batsman that had played less then 15 tests was Umar who happened to be the best batsman of series. No how can you claim this to be a young side?

Thanks for the insight! We all knew India had a bowling attack that was much better than the 80s Windies.
 
When you look at it, all tests ond ODI's should be banned in India until they can make decent cricket pitches. India has the most bloody boring pitches that will always over shadow any Indian achievment until they are fixed, or trying to cheat they go to the other extreme against SL and make a highly dangerous pitch that get the oval banned for a year.
What does the money the BCCI go into? It does not go into the pitches or much development so it must just line pockets!
I am hoping the SA chocker white wash IND so they might try and fix the pitches and get some bowling talent going!

This test looks like showing once again that IND has no pride in its pitches at all. I say ban Indian home games until pitches a fixed for ODI and Tests or T20 really will kill them both through total mind numbing boring cricket!
 
lol what is Sehwag doing. The guy seems really nervous and he usually gets to 3 figures with a 4 or a 6.

Decent bowling is scaring him as the pitch is an IND normal flat track!
 
Sehwag gets to 100 but is soon dismissed by Parnell, Dhoni's the new man in.
 
Intresting to see if S.A fore the follow on or try and force a win by batting India out of the match.

Would S.A want to bat last on this wicket if they force follow on...?
 
lol who the heck is 'Saha' ???? Looks like we will have the draw the series by winning the next game.... If my man SRT can score a 100 in the second innings all is forgotten till the next test...

I reckon bat until 300 or so and set India 600 to win ala Karachi 06.
 
Of course , they'll enforce the follow on .. it would be just crazy otherwise.They cant afford to waste time with a secong innings and hope to get India all out again in just over a day.

Whoops I thought it was only Day 2. FOLLOW ON :127:

And this is what the pressure of a high 1st innings total does to a team; hence why India's bowlers manage to get wickets.
