ChappellI, once said that if you put opponents in & don't get them 4 down by lunch, 80% time you 'll not win the Test & most cases you 'll end up losing it. Let's see.

Amla is giving Faf and Rahane a lesson on how to play spin on Indian tracks

Pitch looks to turn now.

Kohli you FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Might get away with if SAF don't put a decent total on 1st innings, as they are a bit short in bowling. But, it was a poor decision; Ash just availed him a decent lunch.

Ashwin's twin strike over no. 8 was the earliest any spinner has taken two wickets in the first inns of any Test in the last 10 years - Cricinfo

Why our pacers continue to bowl on batsman's pads?

First it was Ishant and now Aaron wasting the deliveries.

Ashwin is having amazing control over his flighting of the deliveries, these days. Deceiving SA batsmen consistently with it.

Meanwhile, rubbish half trackers from pacers continues. Aaron releasing whatever pressure Ashwin builds up from the other end.

Ashwin could bowl better to lefties. Needs to pitch at off stump and wickets will come.

Last test too this was happening.

Dunno if its strategy or he is not getting it perfect but when the ball pitches on good length off stump, it creates wicket taking chances instead of just looking good.

Can't afford to allow Amla to set.The stage is set for India here. But if Amla sticks here, he will go on and play a big inning.Get Amla out and others are not good enough against spin.AB alone can't do much irrespective of support or craze he possess from Indian crowds here..

Absolute zafar, might have hit some crack. Two consecutive innings Amla is castled.

Amla missing the straight one again.

May be Bhai did not expect Spray gun Aaron to bowl straight.

peach at 87 mph.
well watching the reply i think he played down the wrong line lol:moyo

Just like I said...whenever Ashwin pitch off stump to Elgar he looks like getting out anytime. Had him in all sorts of trouble.

But he doesn't do it enough times.

Bowled in middle and gave away single.

In spin tracks, that's still a good delivery (as it will turn and come to off stump) but here its a pressure releasing delivery.

Aaron's accuracy is heartening.

Looks a different bowler since he changed his wrist position.

Maybe as Chacha says, the other arm has got to do with how he is landing the ball.

Dunno about technicalities.

Irrespective of the result here , i wouldn't be surprised if England beat Southafrica later this year , they have been poor since Bangladesh , especially the batting .

Dean Elgar has played Ashwin really well in the first test and continues the same here.

He is getting his pads out of the way. You can see Ashwin is trying to hit the pads but Elgar is taking more of a leg stump stance against him and looking to play him with the bat only.

Jeez, I wake up only to see Amla and Faf are already out. What a horrible start to the day.

Dhawan with his lethargic fielding skills never gonna make half chances into a full one.

Barring few deliveries here and there, our pacers have been bowling largely on batsman's pads this morning.

Disappointing stuff, this.

why did kohli bowl first though , i dont think you should ever bowl first in India , especially when you have Binny opening the bowling for you , defensive move perhaps , shielding the batting from the conditions ??
India's morning though.

Wrist position doesn't help with line. Actually I don't know what people mean by wrist position. The more accurate term should be wrist execution meaning wrist does not break during delivery and it is fully behind the ball to keep the seam stable(at whatever angle it is held). Wrist position is pointless if the wrist breaks during delivery, different bowlers have different wrist positions anyway.

Bowling accuracy is gained transfer of energy in a straight line through a repeatable action. The front arm(the guide arm) is used to propel your body forward thus the more firm and linear in movement, the straighter your body is propelled forward resulting in better accuracy. I don't want to get too technical but that's the gist of it.

Thanks bro.

So you think Aaron has a good chance of being decently accurte from now on?

And what;'s your view on Yadav's accuracy?

More accurate than before but he'll have to make this action repeatable.

Yadav has a similar problem. His action isn't compact, a lot of sideways movement rather than straightforward.
