Mate, some of our pakistani players celebrate 50 as if they have scored a double ton in a WC final. But can't blame them either, a 50 for us is like 200 for a few others.

I think teams now a days generally carry on a similar plan despite loosing early wickets and middle overs with not much in it for the bowlers it has become considerably easier to keep on achieving decent scores more often than not even with early struggles.

The guys capable of playing that modern cricket from SA side (except Miller) or even Pakistan (Hafeez) are also missing . They don’t have the same bench strength like the big 3-4 teams. If they play their first X1’s both SA and Pak can upset big teams on their day.

Pretty sure he’s retired plus he’s not played any list-a games in a while and hasn’t played any odis since the 2019 WC plus you gotta ask yourself is he fit enough to play a 100 over game? Hafeez is best suited at focussing his energy on the T20 WC.

Hafeez is still part of the T20 squad. Regarding Amir, it all depends upon his mood as currently he is not ready to play under Misbah and Waqar so has taken a hiatus from international cricket.

Recovering from 55/4 while setting up a target is bit easier than while chasing. So if Pak looses 4 even inside 100 it would be really tough.
