you check the record, SL never had better head to head record against India. only in 90s they won a lot of matches against India. Still it was 50-50.
 
Jeez Sanga appeals for everything. Even huge inside edges. Epitome of spirit of cricket. :facepalm:
 
Great little innings this from Rohit! The wicket was erratic, he gritted it out to play a very mature innings! Now it is on him to steer this through

It is good to see India give some dishing to SL. In the 90s it was Jaya, Kalu, Aravinda who used to give to us.
 
Rohit can be the successor to MSD in finishing off matches. Similar resolve.. great under pressure

Indian bats very good at rotating the strike. That's how you play this game.

Yeah gets annoying tbh. Ends up costing actual wickets on occasions. He somehow gets away with it though lol.
 
Rohit bowled brutally, Dhoni in.

India going to win this easily.
 
thats a problem with Dhoni. he does not rotate strike and putting other batsman under pressure.

That was clean from Dhoni. He was just hurrying as Sir Jaddu didn't provide him any space to the other side
 
this is the real test for jadeja and dhoni. they have been hyped up as great finishers, especially dhoni. lets see if he could do it this time.
 
Lakmal to Jadeja, 1 run, hesitation all over! Jadeja almost took out his captain there. He pushed a length ball to mid on and called for a non-existent single, Dhoni didn't want to and rightly so, but Jadeja kept coming through. Dhoni responded late and was running towards the striker's end and came in between the throw and the stumps. Sri Lanka are contemplating an appeal for obstructing the field, but they decide against it. Dhoni was running straight in his path. Mahela and Sanga were convinced Dhoni changed his direction.


Why didn't Sanga or Mahela appeal? Not like they would get punish.....oh........
 
Mathews is turning out to be a good captain.. These Lankans are always street smart
 
Its really an insult to these players that they were accused of playing badly against India deliberately.:facepalm:
