Good stuff from Sharma. I selected him in my fantasy team so lets hope he hits 50!

i too selected him. he is my favorate of the younger lot.

Understandable. Not easy. But he played that last shot superbly.. But boundary saved.
 
I think India will fold for around 170 or so and Australia will take it in 35 overs.

Sharma is history. Why cant he play a long innings? He has done it before too.

sharma is one for the future. all he needs is one innings with someone like tendulkar at the other end to give him the mumbai mantle.

Yup.. that is the problem.. they keep playing shots..like Bangladesh. If India survives 50 overs i will be more than happy.
 
Lee has shown that what a excellent bowler he is in this entire series. It is nice to see him bowl. After Akram, this is one bowler whose bowling never fails to impress.
 
tiwary prolly wont have many chances now, everyone knew a yorker was on the cards soon, but he still got out to it.

dont think dhoni will be too happy with this, raina/yuvi gonna come into the side for him now.
 
Paying the price for under-estimating the conditions. India can defend a total of 250 here. But they will be lucky to reach 160.

*cough* let's be fair - he only became decent this year. Prior to that he was hopeless. He was hopeless in the Ashes last year.

They should have kept Karthik jsut for this match as he has been here long enough. From next game others could have played.
 
karthik is just miserable, all he does is field. tiwary prolly got a look in coz of his bowling options.

but i dont think he'd be preferred anymore, back to yuvi imho.
 
If Uttapam gets out cheap he should never be picked again, unless its to carry drinks
 
Chance for Uthappa to show that he isnt an FTB. I will be surprised if he does though - lookout for the soft dismissal at midon or point.

I have seen his bowling only in this series. He has been exceptional in this one.

Fat chance. He is a certified FTB. He has courage. But doesn't have the technique to deal with extra bounce and pace.

Does nt matter. Gambhir was out twice. Sharma gave near catches o slips. Yuvi total out of form .All the same. India will lose if Veeru or sachin dont fire
 
India should have played Lee out. Rohit sharma's wicket forced Ponting to give Lee to give one more over.
 
If you put too many young players into the mix you can expect to have adverse results in the first few matches. I dont know why the selectors chose to do this in an away series. If they manage to compete towards the second half of this series and reach the final, I guess it will be a fair outcome.

If they wanted to have a chance of winning this series they should have had Laxman, Dravid and Ganguly.
 
gambhir didnt look comfy, but atleast he applied himself, sharma looked comfy but got too eager to score.

yuvi is a match winner even when hes out of form, brings too much into the team for u to just ignore.

veeru...well we all know what hes capable of when he gets going.
