Test cricket is all about patience , even for bowlers , they need to keep coming back again and again at right length and wait for that one fatal mistake by batsman.

"Change of ball is not working... Dhoni might now persuade umpires to change the pitch as well?" Well, if he couldn't get the groundsman to, I'm not sure what the umps can do

:yk

Highest partnership in the match by over 40. Keep those runs flowing.

Whats the Urdu for Indians bowling garbage again?

Indians ____ rahe hain? Or have I messed up subject/verb :moyo:

Dhoni should try to ask ECB to change their players, may be they will listen...lol

Fantastic work between the wickets, running the fat lads in the field ragged.

100/0 in that session! Must be the most one-sided day of the series so far.

I keep coming back to this point, why select a guy who averages 38 with the ball? What sort of message does that send to young Indian bowlers? It certainly doesnt say work hard, get wickets and you will be picked on merit.

Pakistan have bowlers and no much else but if you are a Pakistan bowler and you get picked, you understand you need to perform from day one or your career could be over in one game or even innings. Indian bowling seems to be, get into the squad, collect massive IPL cheque and you have a job for life, regardless of how crap you are. Low expectations breed low performance.

Great session for us. They made up for their slow start and scored 99 runs at 3.19 in this session. Trailing by 195 runs. Hopefully 100+ runs and not more than 2 wickets in the evening season.

Yeah, you got it right grammatically. You'd fill that blank space by inserting, "... phir bakwaas bowling kar ..." in there.

Great session for Eng.

Even worse, he has played four completed Tests this year, is now into a fifth, and so far has taken three wickets at 125 a piece. Disgraceful selection for this reason, for the fact that it is one of India's bigger games in a while, and also for the reasons you mention.

We should be aiming to go wicketless. If we play sensibly there are no wickets out there for such a mediocre bowling attack on a dead strip.

Probably the same reason Sami gets back into pakistan team time and again.

England to be 300 without loss by stumps

Sami gets picked because he is the fastest bowler in Pakistan, thats a legitimate reason to pick someone.

Useful swipe to the vacant third man.

It's not exactly like watching the right-handed Lara, but he's averaging 40 so that's fair enough.

India look ragged and sedate in the field, but it takes one good session or a wicket that can turn the whole game on it's head. England need to score and score big so if they bat again they don't chase as much.

Honestly? 220 for 2 down or less would be beyond my wildest expectations.

Eng should bat on and on here, the bigger the lead they get , the smaller the target they will chase on final day

Alastair Cook is the youngest player to reach 7,000 Test runs

Solid 50 for Compton a valuable knock after a slow start. Now for the 100.

India are getting annihilated here.

If I was an Indian supporter, I'd be welcoming a loss to England tbh.

50 for Compo. Giving great company to Cookie. Just play the way you play Compo, lot of time left in the test.

Oh cookie onto 92 with a streaky boundary !!!

lol Sherlock 'Taufeeq is comparable', Alastair's bat has now successfully refuted that opinion :)

Well done Nick.

You challenged me in a past past thread with the opinion that Cook wasn't that good and that Taufeeq was comparable to him.

Mate you do act snobbish at times. No-one compared Cook to Taufeeq, except you (surprise, surprise) What I said was in my opinion Cook isn't as good as you claim.

Yes his average is good even better than many players around the world, but on a personal stand point, Strauss is a far better and technically gifted player than Cook. But to compare the latter to Taufeeq, whom has been playing in a pretty average team, average batting etc is rather pathetic.

I've seen this trend that you have of comparing players, and it's not good.

Stop this garbage about Cook being a player that can rival the best around the world. That's a notion in your head, and let it stay there.
:P

You remarks about Taufeeq are ignorant and shallow.

Why even go to the Boycott level to sensitize what you said is very baffling.

That's what I wrote :))

I admit in selling Cook short, but my main point was you comparing the two not me :P

Why do you have to get all mighty anyway :))

the only positive thing for India is ishant's pace..he s continuesly bowling above 85 mph..

England should declare at 700 without loss and plan to only bat once

LOL I'd forgotten it was actually that good.

On a personal note, I've just changed from a Sky stream to a link with the Indian ex-players commentating. Going to enjoy their misery ;-)
