Good session for India, but slow batting helps the idea of the draw.

lunch 146-4

harmless session for India, but just 59 runs, need to step it up

I still think this pitch has result. Once the pitch breaks it will be difficult for both sides.

Good session for India. Hard work for England.

I don't know why jimmy didn't bowled much, is he injured?

Run scoring is pretty hard on this pitch , not getting out is not. Pakistan would score at less than 1 rpo on this pitch :hafeez :misbah :azhar

Collingwood at the start of the match said it will finish in 3 days.maybe he meant 3 extra days

Yup I think everyone mistook the pitch the curator, captains, commies everyone. It behaved completely different I guess.

The Art of Death Bowling, What has happened to Pakistan?

Pakistan used to be the best team at bowling in the depth overs from overs 40-50, but in the last year they have really struggled to contain teams and regularly concede more than 80+ runs in the last 10 overs.

Even teams like Zimbabwe have in the recent PakTel Series were able to take advantage, and in the last match WI scored over 140+ runs in the slog overs.

What are Pakistan doing Wrong?

You Comments Please.

Dont worry once started runs will flow freely.

India have done well here but I think to even catch up with this England score and then build a lead and get England out again on such a low and slow wicket is still very difficult, even if India bat the next two sessions they may only be able to mach ENG's score, a draw may be more likely here rather than any team winning

Being saved for an imminent new ball burst and then a second spell of reverse swing.

Bit risky from Cook to bank like this but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

still a lot of work to do...I don't understand why they are playing that slow ..they should be thinking about winning, not saving the match.

Unfortunately the pitch really is that bad; seems like it is taking a while for some people to come to terms with this. A certified poor effort from the groundsman.

New cherry time. This is the business end of the affair.

Dream on....

Jimmy into the attack with the new ball.and dhoni smacks the first ball to boundary

More happening for England in that one over than the whole rest of the day lol.

If Anderson stays patient there are wickets for him here.

India still 163 behind. With the way it's going I don't think India will erase the deficit today. They have to go over 3 an over for that to happen.

Bresnan doing his best to keep the match alive. Don't want to see him in the team again, poor wayward bowling.

I am absolutely fuming with the selection of Bresnan. I can't believe they are sooking about the state of the ball; how about thinking about the state of your 2nd seamer. Truly abysmal.

45 overs left in the day & trail by 152 ...even if we bat till lunch on day 4,lead would be 15 or 20 runs & England will bat out chances of any result in this match .

Good move to bring Monty back, Bresnan is useless anyway.

I don't think Monty's bowled well at all in the last couple of innings, but we need to look at the wider picture either way: with Bresnan in the team, England is now genuinely going to struggle to take 20 wickets.

India's strategy here relies on England having a poor second innings against the spinners.

I do think India have a chance of winning the Test, although an England win or a draw are still more likely.

I guess they picked him because he has test experience.

He's fourth choice seamer at present but he should be behind Onions and arguably behind even Meaker.

Or better still, relegated to the ODI / T20 squads.

Lol

India strategy simple play one more session and then start thrashing against 2.5 bowlers.

If Eng bat out 3 more sessions , it will be a draw. For a win India have to get a lead of at least 50 runs and get Eng all out for 200.
