As if we never collapsed in this series and the previous ones.

Today is an odd exception and if India go on to win this match and continue the winning streak in the forth coming series, then you may be right about the confidence. Otherwise this is just a lucky day.
 
I think the pitch has become flat , no double pace anymore. India need to take advantage and look for a solid lead here.
 
Very good partnership here for India, very good come back after 71/4 as well.

They said pitch will start deteriorating from day 3 but nothing I could see so far, even the uneven bounce seems to have vanished. Will it keep the way while match? Commies are surprised as well.

Credit to India, they have played very well.

But I expect a shift in proceedings. One thing has already changed at least, and England usually do well when I do it: I've switched to the Indian commentary.
 
why has Anderson just bowled 8 overs out of 59 bowled in two sessions ? poor captaincy or injury ...btw,he is on atm.

It matters, .... a lot actually. I wish this were not by luck....

Wins by luck don't come often and are not repeatable. I admire your optimism actually, inspite of India getting whipped into a paste in almost all their important matches prior to this one, and suddenly one day of "luck" cannot change facts about the abilities and temperament of this Indian team.
 
It will be equally tough for India to take 10 Eng wickets. Mind you you time is also another important consideration here.
 
To win India have to make sure they get a lead , and then get poms out quickly ....... they would not like to chase anything over 150 .

To england's credit, they are at least keeping it tight so when the wickets come they are not too far behind.

lol fans like you were the reason people like Gambir kept denying his batting problems for the last 3 years with an odd performance here and there.

One good day for India made you to take all these things but forgot your miserable last 12 days. Be happy with your teams performance but be realistic at the same time. Even if you win or lose this match you need to analyse the shortcomings in the last two matches.

I really hope your players doesn't think the way you're doing right now.

This is why Indian cricket is stuck in the mud, and also why we can never tell if some of the Indian posters are trolling or not lol.
 
Collingwood is right - this is Test Cricket and Cook biggest 'test' so far.

Onions and woakes seem to be far better, but are strangely kept at bay by Flower & co.

Exactly , this is the fallacy of modern coaches , they give preference to someone who can bat , and bench genuine wicket takers , later one good ball and those cannot contribute with the bat either and you are left with poor bowlers.

Pitch hasn't started to spin yet. I don't remember the last time non spinning pitch been prepared in India.

Unusual for Dhoni but they actually made this pitch request under the carpet so nobody knows what's in store. This is actually better than shouting from the roof top from Dhoni.

This is test cricket and you need to face every challenge thrown at you from the opposition. We did well most of the time in this series but this is a different challenge and we're finding it a little difficult at the moment.
 
India remain on course, but then so did the Titanic..cricinfo
 
Dhoni blocked a boundary from Kohli, maybe he wants to get to hundred first 😜
 
This pitch remains me of Pak vs SA series in UAE. Slow and nothing for the bowlers unless batsman make a mistake.
 
England know that the more these two bat at 2 rpo more chance of a draw . There is no way England are going to get All Out in 3 sessions in this pitch . Let India get a lead , Captain Cook is a Day4/Day5 draw specialist . Still remember how he bored the hell out of everyone during 1st Ashes test .

India's best chance was to wrap up the English innings cheaply after KP was dismissed but they allowed Root and Prior to slip away with the game .
 
I wonder if the pitch would crack on day 4 since it hasn't done so today
