England in control after all :)) :))

Keeping the score tight through out the day and taking quick wickets at the end matched to perfection.

But TBh India screwed up a big chance to take a very big lead. I'm pretty sure you'll look forward to another 58 partnership between Ashwin and Ishant. It's an interesting day ahead.

Ball' in England's court I guess, we have to decide whether we need to go for a win or feel safe first.

Well Done England, brilliant the way they stayed the course.

Still 60/40 in England's favour.

Best option for England would be to nip out the remaining 2 tomorrow morning and bat the whole day tomorrow.

England are far too good for India. What will be the rankings after 3-1 victory for England?

They have to be 270 and 280 runs ahead. Once they do that, they will be big time favorites. No use playing for draw here. I believe track will become spicier as we go deep into day 4 and 5.

England will play for a draw .

And nobody could or should fault them for that.

Series wins in india are incredibly rare and they have earned the right to settle for a draw by dominating the last two tests.

counting is not your strong point . I think a result in this match is a remote possibility .

There is a decent shot at a result, but expecting england to risk the series isn't the way to a result, india actually performing with the ball is the way to a result.

The game is dead even and india have their destiny in their own hands if they are good enough.

Great batting by Dhoni and Kohli! Dhoni very unlucky to be run out on 99. Expecting Ashwin to get us over their total now.

where is musaarthali

He's still thinking about how badly India are going to thrash England...

Good fight-back from England which means India now need the pitch to explode into life on Day 4 to bowl England out while dying down again on day 5 to try and secure the win.

they would go for draw as they should

frankly India's chances of win are more than England simply bcoz they wont know wen to declare.2 sessions wont trouble us

India need to bowl England out tomorrow to win.draw still favourites

What happened to twin centuries coming up and England will take the next wicket tomorrow?

Wouldve been a depressing day for our bowlers if not for those 4 wickets in the last hour. We need to bat really long here. Pitch still looks good for batting.

Could be, especially if Sehwag gets going, and we have one innocuous bowler in Bresnan. This might turn into an ODI yet!

This is really good for us. Now Ashwin will get us a 50 lead.England will confused and play in tortoise style and get bowled for 150 runs :))

Yup draw is the likely possible result. They usually say day 3 is the moving day but both teams were dead locked at the end of day 3.

If India doesn't bowl well then the match will be done and dusted there itself. Onus is on the Indian spinners, not only to bowl out England but also to give enough time for India to chase as well. Interesting day ahead, it's been slow but it's been a good test on the other hand.

Superb innings by Kohli and Dhoni under pressure! Something the rest of this Indian lineup could never do! Both of these guys are going to be key for India as time goes on and older players retire/get dropped. They've given India a chance.. now it's upto the bowlers.

England still on top with a 50+ lead and a bowling attack that will trouble India even if they are to chase 200

even if india get england out for less than 200...india might still struggle if sehwag goes early...as turning pitch and pressure to score runs might be too much for them...though hoping for an historic indian win

Just wait n watch the epic going to unfold tomorrow.

Sehwag will go early mate ! He's a walking wicket ! India ki toh vaat lagayega england kal :jf

Brilliant fight back by Kohli and Dhoni. It's about time Dhoni did something with the bat in Tests. Match quite evenly poised now. All 3 outcomes are possible from here the way I see it. Should be a good contest me thinks.

It was a marvellous comeback. Anyone who still dares to argue that England aren't a resilient side is struggling tonight. The players stuck to the task brilliantly, and I agree with Trott that Cook running out Dhoni had the feel of a seminal moment.

I dont see why England will cross 150 in 2nd Innings, they struggled in first innings.

This might happen, but if the conditions deteriorate to the extent where it does, then India would in turn struggle to get the 170 to win.

A 1 innings shoot-out shaping up here and anything can happen.

This really is the final hurdle for England. 2-2 is a good result to be fair, and may well look so in the annals - but right now it would feel like a loss after everything that's happened. Moreover I believe we're the better team, so it's time to prove it and secure the series.

2-1 would be fantastic, but 3-1? Out of this world.

^^^ I think 2- 2 looks more awesome :D

but seriosuly...2- 1 or 3-1 or 2-2...England will go a happy side....they played in india against india like they have never done before...even in their losses...they have fought!!!

while even if we manage to pull this off...we will have lot of changes to make....we never played this badly at home....

It seems most likely that Cook, Trott, KP and Root will drop anchor and soak the time up, leaving India perhaps a session and a half to bat. Even Bell might play well under these circumstances, since he knows clearly what to do in this situation.
