i rather he gets it here and now the moment he gets 100th 100 his mind will be free and he will be back in his heavy run scoring form
Don't think he cares about it, he said 100 is just a number. His mind is free, it is probably the age which is getting to him now.

these guys are scoring boundaries in every over.. luck is with WI so far

not a question of caring but everywhere he goes he reads about it news , fans etc. It plays on your mind and you become tentative and overcautious

I do not think a player of his stature with over 22 years in international cricket should have any effect. He has gone through a lot and I do not think he is metaly that fragile to let this milestone get to his nerves.

Shocking wicket, India getting thumped, draw is a near certainty unless this wicket breaks up, which is not going to happen.

Dunno why they produce this sort of wicket.

India shouldn't produce flat pitches with nothing in them. It costs them, it's led to draws which should have been Indian wins. Against New Zealand they had this problem. Now it looks like they'll draw another to West Indies.

Produce pitches with something in it, turners if they can. Indian batsmen are the best batsmen on subcontinent wickets, and best against spin. Make it hard for the away batsmen.

Know we play on flat wickets too (which I don't agree with), but we're not playing at home, we're generally lower ranked and a much worse batting side, and we're more scared of losing against teams (saw this against SA when we faced them in UAE), while India at home it's pretty much win or draw. India have nothing to lose by producing turners. Only thing is perhaps their batsmen may not score centuries as frequently anymore.

even bradman was...that he had tears in his eyes is kind of a cover up he just got tentative and bowled off a straight ball

everyone no matter how good gets affected if others around him create a hullaboo

100th 100 thats why

Day 1 is too early to judge but West Indies should be on course for 500 at least.
But agree looks like draw written all over this Test.

windies would be disappointed if they dont get 400+ ATLEAST.

there is nothing in the pitch. one out of 50 overs the ball turns slowly. no seam movement even with the new ball no swing(at all).

dull surface. plus i was hoping sehwag would bat. woulda been fun to watch.

100th 100 thats why
Won't happen. Two batsmen above him have to get out before he gets a chance to bat. And on this terrible pitch, there's a good chance Windies won't even take two wickets against this Indian line up playing at home.

A flatter deck might not always favour the feeble (esp. without Chanderpaul) WI batting line. In the WI-PAK series this year, WI won on a bad batting wicket. The second Test in St Kitts was played on a better deck for batting and PAK won relatively easily. With no Chanderpaul, WI batting had little chance to survive the PAK spin attack on days four or five. :ajmal

Aaron has bowled really well, he has been so unlucky, disappointing if he goes wicket less.

West Indies should look to bat till Tea at least, pile on the runs and hope the wicket will do something on 4 th and 5 th days.

So, Mumbai prepares a pitch for the 100th 100 and what you know West Indies win the toss and are enjoying themselves. :))

West Indies have some good talented youngsters ..... they would be tested with better attacks though in SA, England etc.

Well played Kirk ... This lad is turning out a great find for the Windies.

Another youngster Kieran Powell next in. Great chance for him to score well and establish himself in the team.

Ashwin has bowled well in Test matches so far, looks like a good find. 15 wickets already in his debut series.

Powell off the mark with a bit of aggression. Charges up to Ashwin and over his head for FOUR!

West Indies need bravo to bat for long time here.... they need 450 plus here, to make India think.

Powell 30 from 35..... good attacking cricket here, it will put bowlers under pressure.
