imran nazir ! *sigh* what a waste of talent! only he is responsible

I remember in the last U19 world cup when commentators were discussing the most talented player they've seen in U19, and Danny Morrison and co. unanimously agreed it was Imran Nazir :(

When I first saw him, he opened the innings in odi vs someone where he hit 54 and remained not out till Pakistan got all out around 150ish. He was around 19 then.

Misbah should tweet this, considering how he is to be blamed for everything.

The only thing Afridi is going to kill is the hopes of many Pakistanis.

Misbah looks upto Imran Khan in a similar way and they belong to the same tribe, so tribalism plays a role in Pakistani cricket too -it's more than just a coincidence that Ijaz Butt had appointed 25 y/o Salman Butt as test captain :najam

I expect quite a few irish fans to be at the games. They are everywhere in NZ as part of the rebuild after the christchurch earthquake

Yeah I'm hoping the large ex pat community turn out.

Honestly, in most countries I'd expect a few hundred maybe couple thousand Irish to turn up, so many have emigrated lately. Apparently 4 of our group games have been sold out too, albeit thats probably a misleading stat

Unfortunately he isn't even spending enough time at the crease to play dots. Was a on a roll today though.

This is just great! This is what we want to see as fans. Fast Bowler trying to take out the batsman and batsman trying to fight it out. Play hard on the field and leave it there. Aussies usually appreciate such agressive and ruthless performances so good on them. Really good to see.

Very mature from Wahab and Watson. I see why Ramiz thinks he can be a good captain. Passionate and mature, perhaps just the mix Pakistani need in a captain.

Wonder - how we would have felt if Wahab would have hit Watson on the head ?

Wonder - how we would have felt if Wahab would have hit Watson on the head ?

I am pretty sure this crossed Watson's mind through that spell.

Remember, he wasn't that far away from Hughes when he was hit. It would be hard to get that out of your mind.

I definitely think Wahab cross the line with that spell. Its sad to see that a brazen attack on another human being is being applauded by the world media. VIolence or in this case attempted harm on another human being has no place in the game.

Aiming at the body is a valid intimidation tactic in cricket.

What do you want him to do? Give him some gentle 110 kph pace and pitch it wide outside offstump? Go watch ballet, cricket aint for you :yk2

What a legend.

Gayle is trolling Shahzad in a cunning way. This is kind of like "i'm on your side at the same time im making fun of you" and "im just your friend so i can use you as my own entertainment". Gayle knows that Shahzad isn't aware of what Gayle is doing. This is pretty low of Gayle. Considering he is an IPL bully who can only hit sixes in Chinnaswamy and NZ grounds with 50metre boundaries.

MashAllah. :amla

I trust Gayle conversion to Islam rumours will kick-start now.

We are obsessed with having people convert to Islam. Amitabh was supposedly becoming a Muslim to when he once commented on Quran.

There were some rumors of Dhoni embracing Islam as well.

Ronaldo is also close to accepting Islam because he donated his Golden Boot to Palestinian Children. And refuses to swap shirts with Israeli players.

Thierry Henry also is close to joining the Ummah because he has praised Islam before.
