Interesting Tweets and Instagram posts by cricketers

I will not look too much into these tweets because I'll give him benefit of doubt for the fact that he was playing in Pakistan for the first time and that too in his own city, so he got overexcited. Also had a nice little exchange with the crowd so all these tweets about selfies are pretty harmless.

However, he needs to cut down on this 'haters v fans' business, that is really cringe-worthy.

Taking out all his frustration on Twitter, tweet after tweet on selfies!

Lol.

Hopefully he'll stick to domestic cricket and Twitter only. International cricket is not his cup of tea.

He and Mukhtar proved you wrong yesterday.

I don't even know why he gets criticised for taking selfies. He is young man of 23 and like most young people these days he likes to take selfies. But because most Pakistani fans are backward they wouldn't understand that.

He and Mukhtar proved you wrong yesterday.

Not really. Shehzad's poor stats and limited ability are there for all to see, ~70 matches are enough to judge that he's not good enough. He did the same vs BD, played worst LOI innings of all time plus poor in Super 8 T20s, all proving his worth.

One decent match after countless failures don't mean much where the opposition bowling was club-level.

The jury is still out on Mukhtar, he couldn't do well against domestic bowlers. I believe in a more refined batsman that we have in Nauman. It was criminal to not play him.

I won't mind Nauman/Mukhtar combo, although Mukhtar most probably won't last against decent sides.

:)))

Shelfie....SHELFIE :)))

Oh man what an absolute legend.

Keep em coming Shehzad, Pakistanis find it embarrassing (understandably) but neutral fans find it hilarious :)))

I have to convince myself not to feel rage over this idiot and just let go how I feel about him. He's never going to change, and we're stuck with him because he plays one decent innings (ignore the reasons why) and he's cemented himself in the side for another 100 matches.

I think it's a disgrace that he's blocking the route of other younger batsmen with potential but that's Pakistan cricket. He's had years to mature, but that's Pakistan cricket.

Hard to believe he's the same age group as Rizwan, Hammad, and others. Those guys have had to grind it out in domestics, in Hammad's case had to deal with peoples' agendas against him, and present themselves with the appearance of humility. Shehzad doesn't know what that word means.

He acts like he's an Afridi, but he's no Afridi. I have huge issues with Lala, but there's no question he's been a match winner for us. But Lala also has charisma is excess, so even when he's been hugely arrogant, it comes across a kind of snarky humor. That's why Afridi is such a megastar. But Shehzad just comes across as a nitwit, even if he's a legend in his own mind.

I could forgive all that if he just appeared willing to work at his flaws, or even just acknowledge them. It's why I have utmost respect for Azhar Ali, who is clearly less "talented" but has worked to improve his game.

Super post. Shahzad is a parody of himself.

Shahzads latest "karnama" is to favourite anti kohli tweets comparing his behaviour to fans and Shahzads behaviour.

Lets get it trending...#shahzadhaszerobraincells

Best thing about Shehzad is that he almost never posts things praising other players. Literally almost every other player both current or outside squad posted compliments for Malik and Azhar in the Zimbabwe series. Not a peep from boy Shezzy.

he posts sth if Younis or Hafeez score a century. like in the Bang test series

but pointedly never posted anything in praise for Azhar ali despite his performances in both tests and ODIs

Exactly. That's incredible noticeable, given that every single other players was posting positives, combined with his stupid Twitter behavior about the captain selection. Shows he'll never learn.

Up until last summer, Shehzad was pretty much in line for the T20 captaincy and ODI captaincy after the World Cup, but the on-field lecture to Dilshan on Islam along with his own form going downhill pretty much killed his captaincy hopes. Azhar wouldn't have been brought back as opener if Shehzad would not have batted at a SR of 72 for 2 years and not even averaging 40.

He is obviously resentful towards Azhar and jealous as well, as his tweet after Azhar got the captaincy showed. This doesn't bode well for the team if these two are going to play together going forward. Quite an awkward situation.

Azhar is already more valuable to the side than Shehzad was at any time in the previous 2-3 years..

He has only himself to blame, but as always he finds himself blameless.

Just like he finds selfie obsession selfless.

Its been a long while Pakistan produced a cricketer that had swag as well as brain. Akhtar was probably the last one and may be Malik. Now its either swagless nice blokes like Misbah, Azhar Ali or dumb ones like Ummy or Shezzy.

Lol @ Shezzi boy making fun of Shafiq's height while "congratulating" him.

^ Amazing.

now that I think of it, "azaming" is a cool word, since Azam means great, then "azaming" would traslate to "being great" and it's also a reference to Quaid-e-Azam. :jinnah

This is Wahab Riaz's contribution to the English language.

Shehzad's streak of congratulating literally everyone except Azhar Ali continues. What an arrogant kid.

But REALLY with the cake?! Waqar, don't talk to us about fitness when every tom dick and harry gets a cake in each series.

What other team on the planet celebrates like this?

'little little' haha

So many fangirls of Shehzad, countless replies.

lol alot of these "fan girls" are actually "fanboys".

There's this Shehzad fan account on twitter called "Shezadian", I always thought it was some chick, but it turned out to be a teenaged guy...

lmao we must be the only professional sports team wihich eats cake DURING a competitive match.

most dont at all barring a day or 2 in a year

also Shehzad is one bitter guy. Pointed it out yesterday. Today is fine but i remember in the Ban tests and Zim ODIs, Shehzad would congratulate other batsmen in the same match Azhar had scored more runs than then lol

Can the cake celebrations at least wait until AFTER the test match? Like they literally have to eat cake in the middle of the match for centuries that could be meaningless to the result if the team loses again?

This is exactly the environment that supports individual results over team ones.

Cut a damn cake when you win a match or a series. There would be MANY fewer cakes and less fat players.

I find Shahzad's tweet more patronizing than anything else.

And why on Earth are they having cake to celebrate a ton and a fifty?

You sir, are a genius. :))

morelike 5'7 or 5'6, they inflate their heights.

Afridi's more like 5'9, Shezzy is shorter than him
Afridi, 5'9"? No waaay. He's definitely closer to 6 feet.

Naah, he's just a well built pathan so gives the impression of being "6 ft"

a Proper 6 footer is like Shane Watson & Afridi is shorter than him

And also there's a picture of Afridi and Guptill and Afridi doesn't look that much shorter than him, and Guptill is 6'2"

Why do they cut a cake on 50s and 100s? This is such a minnow mentality. Pakistan is better than this.

And Shezzy talking about Sarfaraz, a hard working guy's improvement. Rich coming from a player who gives a feeling that he has achieved everything and needs no improvement in his game.

Guys, it's only a bit of cake after playing a whole day's test match, not gonna do much to their bellies.

Afrdi's not an inch more than 5'10

ive met him quite a few times and is similar height to me.

TBH a slice of cake would be about as bad as a pint of beer which the other teams indulge in after the days play..

they do it at the end of a match not during it though.

Also aussies atleast i know do it at end of a series win or end of series itself whatever comes first

they dont go back to the hotel and gift Steve Smith a Heineken at the end of Day 2 of a test match
