If Maharoof doesn't win the game for DD, then he (along with Dilshan) should be dropped! They've done nothing thus far!

what about AB Devillier? he's done zilch. i would keep maharoof for his bowling, and last minute hitting

Don't feel bad, every time I have tried to play a stream, I was successful 1 out of 19 times and the only stream I was able to watch was for 15 seconds and it was Afridi getting out. :|

Misbah's team loses, but who cares, Misbah did brilliantly and showed why he is the world's best T20 batsman, which is more important. Then again what would slow coach Dravid understand about T20? Should've played Misbah in every game

What do you mean? 25-ball 47 not out, what more is he supposed to do? Dravid bats in T20 like he bats in Tests. With a better player as captain and Misbah given more chances Bangalore would've done better. I don't think that's rocket science, really.

Sure, but Misbah has played in other games and failed miserably. You seem to solely blame Dravid for his failures.

Obviously Misbah should have had a bigger role, no question. But he's also failed badly in the chances he was given. That was my point.

Obviously batting isn't the only thing Dravid is SLOW at.
Misbah's a league above from these fools Dravid, Kallis, Jaffer and Chanders

I meant with the bat, i know he's been good with the ball (even if he was expensive)

Plus he hasn't been all that good in pressure situations (barring today)

I think other day he scored 20 odd runs in a single over. He is primarily a bowler. He is not a genuine all rounder. He has done justice to his selection.

See, mate, this was the sequence of events:

- Misbah, the best (statistically) T20 batsman in the world, makes a huge score against Bangladesh in T20 game and comes to India

- Instead of being played immediately, he is left on the bench, losing the momentum and form he had

- Then he is given chances much later on, and only a few. Worse, sent down the order with little TIME to influence the innings

Couple of times he got bad lbw, couple of times shots finding fielders etc., it happens in cricket, but the point is the best T20 batsman in the world was being wasted.

Today when he actually got time to make a big score - he showed how brilliant he is.

That's all I'm saying. I don't think you can really blame Misbah for his earlier failures given it takes time for anyone to settle in. I'm willing to be that he had played all 10 or 11 games, Misbah would have been one of the highest averaging players (like in the T20 World Cup) and Bangalore would be in a better position.

you never get time to settle down in T20's , ist the case with most players .....if he cant score in the limited overs left , then hes hardly that good a player !
 
ive heard past few matches malik has taken some real good catches, wanted to see them :( thats why im after highlights but cant seem to find any of his catches darn it
 
Even without Misbha Bangalore was in pretty good position to win a couple of matches. They made a complete hash of it.

Yes. He brilliantly kept the bench warm as well, spectacularly made lassee and exquisitely brought water and towel for unknown Indian domestic players.
 
To be fair to Dravid, Ross Taylor was doing a terrific job for him. So leaving out Misbha was a tough decision as there were only 4 they could play considering Kallis is an all rounder.

am a fan of dravid for his game in test matches & ODI's...hes at best decent for T20....scored 230+ runs with a strike rate of 130 in IPL , which makes him decent ....but some one of his experience & technique has a role to play in the team & he hasnt done badly ...there is no room for another player who slow to start off , also considering we don have many big hitters in the team .....ross taylor wud have been jsut about perfect , but sadly had to let him go midway !

Why not? They beat West Indies and got through to the S8s of the T20 WC

They're not a bad T20 team, got some vey good players in Ashraful, Aftab, Murtaza

bangla also reached the super8's of ODI WC.........now that pak beat them 5-0 after another 5-0 series aginst zim , you going to say pak as the best team in the world ?

just implying bangla along with zim , in if they have managed to beat good sides once in a while ......so his performance against bangla dosen count & he has hardly don any thing to be counted among the best of T20 !
 
I don't think Bangalore gelled as a team. Their pumped up scenes after wicket looked artificial. They don't work as a team. No roles assigned to anyone. They just play some random cricket.
Dravid is not really marshalling his resources well. He didn't try different things like having spinner bowl upfront or something or the other to get things working for him. He is far too conservative.

You're very biased. Dravid doesn't even belong here. He's not even in the ODI team of India. He once said for him to score a triple century they'd have to extend the tests to 6 days. He's too slow for even the tests and with people like him around not only cricket wont expand to more than a paltry 8 countries, the number of fans from those countries will also decrease. DRAWid is cancer to cricket.

He knows it too. I thought it was a joke when I first read he's be joining Kallis, Jaffer and Chanders for this league. But now I know why. With T20 specialists like Misbah etc. even if Bangalore had won people would've had said 'they won cuz of Misbah and such while Dravid was weakest link'. In a quest to stand out and make himself look somewhat better, he got himself the slowest batsmen from seven seas. Mission failed. Miserably. Good bye Dravid.

just go check dravid's avg in test matches india has won , he the biggest test match winner india has produced .......its an insult to even comparing the likes of misbah to him !

as for T20's ...dravid scored 75 of 36 balls at a 200+ strike rate , there goes your theory that dravid cant play aggressively ........having played international cricket for 12 years , its certainly good bye for dravid ..same will be the case for misbah in two years of time , thats before he even starts his international career !

am not biased , its just you guys habit to hype up a player makes you go to an extent of degrading players like Dravid's class...misbah is an above average player ...playing for pakistan with a mediocre batting line up he seems to be looking like badman to some of you !

I cant believe your bashing the player who scored 24 off the last over so your nuded team could stand a chance. You just cant stand the fact that the best T20 player is a Pakistani guy can you? Must irk you to admit that, in addition to confessing your fav player sucks and is being slammed left and right by everyone including his own employer?

Why do you bring up his test ave. in every t20 discussion? Just cuz he doesn't get out and bolster his ave. doesn't mean a lot unless you were drawing a game. Are you that desperate? NOBODY, not even Dravid talks about his test average while trying to justify his failure in t20 but you. Can you explain why

bash misbah ? infact misbah is one of my fav players...not just from pakistan .!.....but also see lot of better hitters & finishers like ghambir , shewag , ross taylor , dhoni , hayden , watson , rohit , symonds yuvi etc etc , so misbah is not even close to the best of this format of the game ....only some pakistanis seem to calling him the best batsmen of T20 ....hes good , but not the best ...thats my argument am sure all non pakistanis wud agree with that !


dravid has already played 300+ ODI's ....thers is too much competetion for the youngsters...even ganguly , whom I consider the best ODI player india has seen is out of the team.....both are too old for the format & its time to give youngsters some chance now !

the only agv that matters is in winning matches .....thats why I rate dravid so highly.....all that 300s , 400s & 500s are useless cos mos of them have ended in draws .....I brought his test performances up , cos some of you idiots have been insulting one of the legends of the game just to defend T20 failure of your player in the last couple of games !
