No. He is where the line between very good and great is drawn.

He may be an SA great, bit no atg. Smith of SA is an atg because he was more a match winner in terms of influence, plus had captaincy in 100+ tests. Similar figures overall though, considering their eras.

It's a very fine line but that's where I draw it.
