Maybe Mark Wood would be back into the side after success of the first T20 and Topley would replace Tom Curran to strengthen the batting.

There was report saying that this pitch will be a turner. So whoever bats first will have a upper hand. !

Should had dropped Rahul

Thankfully this time Kohli is bit sensitive! If Rahul loses his track at this point he may never get back to Indian team! He is seeing the bigger picture! T20 has ironically become Rahul's favorite format (in contrast to Tests when he started playing cricket!) So its better to persist with him (at least this full series) especially with World Cup coming up, we don't want a team full of newbies!

Rahul & Rohit - this is wrost opening combination Bcz they both slow starter

What the hell were the indians thinking? Why this coddling of KL Rahul after 2 ducks? Dhawan would have been a much better pick. It's sad the subcontinent is still riddled with favoritism and nepotism.

India should lose this match just for side-lining so many other better players and going with KL Rahul. I hope that happens.

I think this is the end of Rahul's international cricketing career! 3 ducks in his favorite format (currently) could probably shut all the doors for him! A sad end to such a good talent! He got the chance in LOIs also for his part-time wicket-keeping (now with Pant & Kishan around that's also closed) Hopefully he continues to shine in IPL!

Probably the biggest mental midget in Indian Cricket in terms of potential & converting into actual performance!

Rahul is a terrific T20 player. He is just out of Form. He will be back to his best soon.

He may be a terrific player.. but after 2 ducks IN A ROW you still give him a chance?? Inexcusable blunder

India have already lost this....PSL showed that if you waste overs batting first, you rarely make up for it later, no matter how well you finish...

Yeah, he is not mentally the strongest player out there.

Rohit should have played the first 3 matches and rested later... He lost his rhythm...

Kishan showed no patience. But that is how he plays. He should still be given more opportunities. He is brutal when he comes good.

Indians rattled by pace of wood and archer

Key is the consistent lengths they have been able to ball at such a pace.

Pace itself is definitely a good weapon but most pacers lose their radar when pushing for pace which makes the pace redundant against international quality batsmen. Something I would like young Pakistani pacers to keep working on as you can only become a top bowler if you can channel that pace in the right direction more often than not.

Seems to be the case that whoever wins the toss in T20Is at this ground will just elect to bowl first and have a massive advantage straight away. Too unbalanced.

That is the problem with these Tamasha Matches! It's not cricket.. it's just pure money-maker and ego-stoking blitz

India should try to be around 100 runs in 15 overs (Around 8, 8.5 rpo) here and if they have wickets in hand they can push from there

155.2kph from Wood, or 96.4mph.

That is searing.

His pace has rattled Indian top order. He is also super accurate which makes it doubly harder. Its only 4 overs in a T20. So he is going all out on pace.

Whenever I see Pant hit 2 consecutive 4s I feel
next ball he might get out, good on him to take a single

Pant's score has gone above 20 now. He mostly loses his concentration after this. Let's see how he goes today. :inti

Pant will do something highly stupid at a crucial time during every World Cup he plays in.

The bigger point is that it is lesson for Pant.. until the ball is "dead".. you should be ready to run between the wickets and not over-run.

Dumb call by Pant :inti

Watch it again. Even the commentators said Pant should have said no. Kohli was waiting for Pant to run which he ran without thinking the area he had to cover was almost 1 and a half pitch. :inti

There is no way both you and the commentators were gonna blame Kohli for that. Both for different reasons though :inti

Kohli had the best view of what was happening. Pant was chilling, the 2 runs having been completed. Virat shouting made him instinctively turn in panic and just run headlong.

Bad call from Kohli. And also from those who hate everything about Pant :rabada2

As always you come up with the dumbest post ever and can't even take a tiny bit of criticism. It seems even commentators are jealous of Pant's talent now. :inti

Shreyas OUT on a shot pitch delivery. He needs to learn to stop doing his break dance against pace and figure out how to play short pitch delivery.

Shreyas Iyer pushed down the batting order because of stupid KL Rahul.. and as a result couldn't play his usual game where he plays cricketing shots and gets into the groove.. had to hit out since they are under pressure to score.

Should have said no. :inti

Agreed, Pant was running towards the danger end he should have made the final call, even his running for previous two runs wasnt great (Looked like well ahead of the crease on his 2nd run without having a 3rd in mind at all) otherwise there could have been a chance of making it.

Why are you so agitated :))

I didn't call the commentators jealous. That was only reserved for :inti

They are not courageous enough to blame Kohli on air :rabada2

Around 10 runs short of an ideal recovery but, more importantly lost an extra wicket in my opinion. Pant's runout was crucial otherwise a decent recovery could have been on the cards.

Kohli actually asked him whether he wants to run, he agreed and got run out. Can't believe his fans are losing sleep over this now and thinking I am making that up. :inti
