I think he is more suited to 4 since he is the best rotator of strike and a brilliant player of spin. More importantly he is great at partnerships, and improves the score of his partner through aggressive running.
I will have to pull up figures, but from memory I thought he played some of his best innings at 4?

Amin has slowed down considerably. He was striking at 120 odd and now his SR is down to 80. Playing for his fifty perhaps?

Good partnership with Amin, who ironically seems most likely to replace him.
27 (33) not bad where you are chasing a total, the key is to win the match personal milestones can take the backseat. If he wins the match for his team then strike rates and all those stats doesn't matter

He was agitated by Imran Khan sr the previous ball who threatened to throw the ball at Amin . He premeditated this shot to wack it for six. Rush of blood stuff, very poor from Amin. Shouldn't be this brittle, winning the match is the best answer not hitting the ball for a six.

Considering wickets tumbling around him, its not bad at all. He is now changing gear, his favorite time is also coming, the last 10-15 overs, if he stays till 45/46 over, they will win(provided not bowled out)...

If Umar Akmal stays till the end and Punjab win, he definitely is pushing his claims for CT spot if he works on his fitness. People hate on him so much on this forum but at least he is attacking unlike most of our players. If he had been managed correctly he would be world class but PCB are the masters of destroying players careers.

Lol both akmals cannot go through even the worst bowling attack after played more than 200 intl matces. Absolutely garbage inning from both hacks.
It was a good knock but just in this tournament we have seen better knocks being played that too in winning cause. So one fifty from Akmal, probably in a losing cause does not warrant him a place in the side especially with serious fitness issues.

His fitness is much much better now. Difference between his batting and most others have been even in this tournament his ability to play proper cricketing shots required for modern day cricket without looking like a hack that we keep seeing in domeetic cricket.

It is PCB's fault that Akmal is a bucket of fat, because they obviously put extra ghee on his naan and added fattening sugars to his water.

PCB turn a blind eye on Umar Akmal, while Sami Aslam gets caught red handed eating karahi and they drop him. Umar will be back, that is decided regardless of his fitness and performance.

They have only themselves to blame. They selected TTFs and players with connections. They deserve to lose every single match.
