LOL, asking Pakistanis their opinion on Sachin Tendulkar is almost as valuable as asking Supriya Shrinate's opinion on BJP and Narendra Modi.

Sanga started playing after he is 23 years old.Sachin started at 16.If we look at Sachin ave when he was over 20 years old than he is 55.

That's what happen when your team play to much against Ban and Zim compare to other teams.That is not his fault.Shakib also play way better against Zim which gives him boost in batting and bowling ave
 
Sanga is a better test batter then Sachin plain and simple.

Use whatever narratives you wish, but don't act like Sachin ain't a stat padder lol.

Sachin is such a stat padder and record chaser that he himself admits he played for an extra year just to chase a pointless record.

This is not even close, had Sanga played 200 matches his avg wouldve ended up in the early 30s, example; look what happening to Virat Goalee over the last 3-4 years..

Only player who defied age and played accordingly for such a long period was SRT, none before him and definitely wont be one after him.

Once again SRT proves he is the top dawg....
 
Sachin Tendulkar Outside Asia Scored 6247 Runs in 135 Innings @46.27 runs per innings and Kumar Sangakkara Outside Asia Scored 3045 Runs in 68 Innings @44.77 runs per innings. Sachin 🇮🇳 > Sangakkara 🇱🇰

Sangakkara retired from test cricket at age 38 in 2015? How could he have played 200 test games?

Sachin got lucky he came at age 16.

As for kohli, Kohli became a hasbeen in test cricket at age 30 lol. He's been a loser for 6 years now.

Well the fact he made his debut at 16 and got to play 200 test itself shows he is a once in a lifetime player. If he sucked like a Virat Goalee or a Michael Artherton after a while he wouldn't have been playing that many matches as he wouldve been dropped wayyy before 200 matches.

Sanga wouldn't have lasted 200 test matches even if he played at a young age as his performance would have dipped along the way and his avg and wouldve been dropped from side as a result.

That's incorrect.

Sanga since debut to retirement never fizzled out. He performed, infact his last 2 year test performance, he averages 55 while Sachin averaged 35.

If anything it showed that both kallis and sanga would have outscored Sachin.

You Indians need to unplug sachin's cord from your brains. Him debuting early isn't a metric.

Btw, I agree Sachin > Sanga. I'm not a Pakistani fan or an Indian one, I'm a neutral. But I'm pointing out that your specific argument is rubbish lol.

Sachin is > Sanga in tests not because he made his debut early but because Sachin has better records in every country excluding minnows where sanga stat padded against.

Barring Bradman, Their are only 2 test cricketers who have stellar records in every country they've played in

Steve smith and Sachin.

Steve Smith is probably the only batsmen I would give the lead to as far as being better than SRT if he equalled or bettered his run tally.

Sachin has a higher run tally dur to no of matches he played. That's once again an incorrect metric, Since at the exact same games Kallis, Pointing and many others have more runs then Sachin did.

No of runs, No of centuries and no of 50's don't determine how good a test cricketer is.

Your avg Per Country determines it.

Typically all time greats have a 40+ avg in every country but theirs atleast one country where their bad in.

Yk: South africa: 31 avg
Kallis: Eng: 35 avg
Root: Aus 25 avg

It's also why Williamson isn't highly rated cause despite having a 54 avg and 33 test centuries and having more test runs at 103 games then Smith and Sachin did, he has red flags in multiple countries where he's just poor in.

As for Steve Smith, Smith is > Sachin as a test batter in all capacity. He's outperformed Sachin in every metric

A) Year by year performances

B) best peak with Smith reaching a record tally of 86 in a year, something no test batter minus Bradman surpassed.

C) 56 avg while maintaining a stellar record in every country

D) More runs then Sachin had at an equal stage

E) To top it off he did all this in a bowling era where test matches are hardly drawn due to countries curating pitches to suit their needs while Sachin played in an era where some pitches were flat and test matches were freqently drawn.

The only thing Sachin has over Steve smith in tests is the same metric James Anderson has over wasim akram, Aka higher wickets due to more games played. Same case with Sachin.

In terms of all time top 3

1) Bradman
2) Steve Smith
3) Sachin

^^ that's an objective fact and can't he denied unless Indian bias comes into play like it did on that laxman vs Younis Khan thread.

SRT played against the below competition;

- WI had Walsh, Ambrose, Bishop,
- Aus had, Mcgrath, Warne, Lee, Gillespie, Mcdermott,
- SA had Donald, Pollock, Steyn,
- Sri Lanka had Muralitharan and Vaas,
- Eng had Flintoff, Hoggard, Harmison (Yes he was very good in ENG),
- NZ was an avg side, I'll give you that.


Now lets see what has Steve Smith faced in comparison to the above?

Considering most of the quality bowlers are on his side who he doesn't play against, so the only world class bowlers he went up against was vs Bumrah and Ashwin (Ashwin in India that is). He was just OK vs Steyn in SA, whereas an aging SRT handled him just fine.
 
One thing is sure from reading posts here, a lot of these young kids have their head in their rear ends.

If a young SRT was playing test cricket today against the quality of bowling that is currently on display, he would've avgd in 70s easily.

Heck I am confident the SRT at his current age with a bit of prep and conditioning would wipe the floor with the kids playing today lol...

The pitches were vastly different. How many test matches were drawn back then compared to now?

Quality of Test Cricket went down due to T20 Cricket, Sachin played in 90s and 2000s when Tests and ODIs had lot of Popularity. These 2 decades saw lot of Fast Bowlers and Spin Bowlers.

No rivalry buddy. @The Bald Eagle is my dear friend but he is very upset since ICC gave Bumrah the cricketer of the year award.

To take revenge, he posted a video of Pat Cummins saying Shaheen Afridi has a better yorker than Bumrah in a completely unrelated thread. Then a brand new thread comparing Bumrah with Imran Khan. Now bumping Sanga vs Sachin thread :rabada2

SRT will always be the best, the only thing that slowed him down was the lost 3 odd years due to the tennis elbow, if that injury don't happen he would have finished his career in the 60s...

Trying to counter quality of opposition faced with drawn matches, nice try that made no sense... ..

Steve Smith played 2 world class bowlers during his entire career Bumrah and a Dale Steyn that was past his peak...

Sangakkara did not even score half of the runs what Sachin Scored Outside Asia. 90s tough batting pitches were faced by Sachin unlike Sangakkara and even then he averaged less than Sachin Outside Asia. ODI Record of Sachin is also better than Sangakkara and that makes him definitely better than Sangakkara.
 
Shakib,Younis and Sangakara are trinity of statspadder.They boost their average by playing against minnows and playing in batting friendly environment (SL,UAE)
