Narendra Modi : Mega Discussion Thread

As for these memes, if you don't find this episode shameful for PM of a country as big as India, then I've got nothing to say here. And what has Modi's lack of knowledge on any matter (except for endless lies and rabble rousing) gotta do with him winning 282 seats in 2014, if I may ask?

Good for him. However 2019 isn't going to be easy. 2014 was way too easy for him. Congress in all sorts of troubles, plagued with double tenure incumbency, media blowing Modi's trumpet and presenting him as a messiah and what not.

Not any longer though.

Lets see what happens in 2019.

It would be a scary though if ppl like Rahul Gandhi become PM of India or are incharge of making decisions on behalf of the country. Rahul Gandhi is barely toilet trained let alone have the brain to run a country, you can forget Kashmir, whole of India maybe taken over by China....

Finally a half decent and reasonably challenging interview after a long time involving the PM albeit his answers about demonetisation weren't very convincing.

Just watched 5 minutes and lost patience. He talks way way way too slow and beats about the bush a lot rather than coming to the point. No wonder the interview was 90 minutes long. Unless I am being too critical?

Half decent? This was yet again fixed by Modi in advance with a pliable journalist! This man can't say anything extempore apart from churning out lies and choicest of abuses on Gandhis...

Did you watch his latest exchange with BJP workers? Can't understand how he has so many followers.

Absolutely revolting to see he has so many followers (or rather stooges/bhakts). This man doesn't have any knowledge on any subject, can't reply on anything of national importance on his own. Whenever he speaks convincingly, he sprouts only rubbish and lies. Can't string a sentence without blaming Nehru & Gandhis in it.

Don't know how could this man be our PM.....

Damn you Anna...

To make way for Modi's helipad, over 1,000 trees cut down in Odisha. All of them were 4-7 Ft tall and had survival rate was 90%.

And in the same vein Modi says,

"the culture of wasting public money cannot continue". Irony died million times.

This is just sad. The Pakistani PM on the one hand is taking active part in billion tree tsunami while our hero is doing the opposite. Does this man have no conscience, no shame?

He should be called Udghatan Mantri (inauguration minister) of India. Every other day he is flying to inaugurate every little obscure thing.

He doesn't have time to attend parliament either.

Does he ever get time to work? Working 16-18 hrs a day, my foot!

All Modi is capable of is to pose for shutterbugs with broom in hand and Swach Bharat on his lips. BTW, do you know this govt collected INR 2K crores in the name of Swach Bharat cess from taxpayers and that too after its abolition and doesn't have any account of it?

Who is he waving to? lol

Yeah I agree, the Modi interview was nothing compared to the below by Rahul Gandhi, such elegance, so precise, knowledge flowing like honey when he speaks

Mamta Banerjee is an ideal candidate for PM and should be the leader of Mahagathbandhan.
Can't wait for the rest of the states to turn into next Bengal!!!

lmaoooo :91:

I love your posts on Modi :)) I remember being like this against Nawaz.
Thanks, but this isn't only about Modi. It's about the ideology of hate and jumlas he espouses. That has completely destroyed India in last 5 years.

I guess the Modi movie will be released straight to Netflix. I cant see how they are banking on Vivek Oberoi to break the box office and actually have people watching this movie. Obviously it will not touch upon the Gujarat mass murders also.

Best PM ever

UAE awards Modi its highest honor despite what happened in Gujrat and is happening in Kashmir. India expresses solidarity with Palestine while purchasing Israeli weapons and impementing Isreali policies in Kashmir. Saudis and UAE bomb innocents in Yemen while increasing ties with Israel despite what is happening in Gaza. The US calls Iran the source of all evil in the region, simultaneously fights and negotiates with the Taliban but recognizes Isreali occupation and keeps mum on Saudi atrocities. Both India and Pakistan roll out the red carpet for the Saudi prince despite what happened in Turkey. Iran blames Pakistan for terrorism outside its borders while supporting militant groups in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Pakistan constantly talks about Kashmiri muslims while completely ignoring what is happening to the Uighurs in China.

What a wonderful world we live in.

Interesting.

Not sure Modi ji would appreciate Indian media calling himself a reincarnation of a muslim who contributed a lot to the creation of Pakistan.

Junaid Akram mentioned this in his video about Israel. We talk about Palestinians, Kashmiris and Rohingyas while completely ignoring Uighurs and Yemenis because China and Saudi gives us money.

How does this attention seeker get so much time to indulge in such cringe worthy theatrics, is beyond me! Oh hang on, that's the only thing he does besides being in election campaign mode 24x7!

Near about 45% Indians voted the NDA to elect Modi. Indians want him as their PM. They have made their choice.

I remember reading somewhere that our beloved PM was busy shooting for a documentary when Phulwama attack happened. Is this the same "documentary" ?

He has put mahabalipuram on the world map and tamilians are proud. Earlier it was the magnificent kedarnath.
Some useless dmk party ones could not digest the fact that modi is winning hearts and tried to disrupt by trending on twitter lol.

Everything about this man is fake, nautanki, show off, lies.... Serious question, has he ever acted genuine in his life, ever?

Good to see Mahabalipuram got huge media attention... Very beautiful place

Rest is just a drama to attract Tamilnadu voters

Staged photo, modi and indias reputation is tainted big time in the West.

2 days back he was hosting bollywood actors, quite a few times he has done that this year itself. Mind you, he doesn't have time to meet people who are actually affected by his dictatorial and aimless handling of Indian economy.

MUMBAI: In a setback, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling party has decided not to form the government in the western state of Maharashtra — the country’s richest — leaving opposition groups scrambling on Monday to cobble together an alliance.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the single largest party in a state election in Maharashtra last month, and was expected to comfortably retain power with the help of its regional ally, the Shiv Sena.

But in-fighting between the BJP and the Shiv Sena, which has gone on for a fortnight, has culminated in the allies parting ways, dealing the first major political blow to Modi’s ruling party since it retained power with a landslide mandate in a May general election.

On Sunday, the BJP’s state president Chandrakant Patil said his party had decided to not stake claim to form government.

Shiv Sena, which is still officially part of a ruling alliance led by the BJP, is now trying to form a government in Maharashtra with support of opposition parties, a senior party official said on Monday.

“We have required numbers to form the government and we will prove it,” the Shiv Sena official said, declining to be named.

In a tweet on Monday, the Shiv Sena’s Arvind Sawant, the federal Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, also quit from Modi government.

Whereas the BJP and Shiv Sena share Hindu nationalist sentiments, Shiv Sena’s political base in Maharashtra is the Hindu Marathi community.

Maharashtra — home to India’s financial capital Mumbai — has a 288-member assembly, meaning Shiv Sena, which won 56 seats, will need the support of other parties to be able to come to power.

Leaders from the opposition Congress Party and the Nationalist Congress Party were meeting separately on Monday to decide on the possibility of an alliance with the Shiv Sena.

If no single party or alliance is able to stake claim to forming a government, then the state could be put under the direct supervision of the federal government until fresh elections are called.

The Shiv Sena split with Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party and decided to try to form a coalition government with the BJP’s key opponents, the Congress party and Nationalist Congress Party.

While an agreement on forming a government has not been finalised, the split between the former allies is seen as a setback for Modi’s party.

Aaditya Thackeray of the Shiv Sena told reporters his party is ready to form the government in Maharashtra and is waiting to receive letters of support from the two other parties.

The Congress party said it will hold further discussions with ally Nationalist Congress Party on the state’s political situation.

The Shiv Sena, the second-largest party in the state’s 288-member House with 56 lawmakers, needs the support of other parties to take power.

Modi gets clean chit in Gujarat massacre

NEW DELHI: A commission of inquiry on Wednesday absolved Prime Minister Narendra Modi of any responsibility in the 2002 pogrom of Muslims.

The Nanavati-Mehta Commission also absolved the state administration, ministers and police officers from any complicity, direct or indirect, and also ruled out any conspiracy to organise the large-scale riots.

It refused to call the riots a result of “pre-planned conspiracy” or “orchestrated violence.”

“There is no evidence to show that these attacks were either inspired or instigated or abated by any minister of the state,” the commission said in its report, which runs to over 1,500 pages and is compiled in nine volumes.

The commission also absolved the state administration, ministers and police officers from any complicity, direct or in direct, and also ruled out any conspiracy to organise the large-scale riots. It refused to call the riots as a result of any “pre-planned conspiracy” or “orchestrated violence.”

“There is no evidence to show that these attacks were either inspired or instigated or abated by any minister of the state,” the commission said in its report, which runs to over 1,500 pages and is compiled in nine volumes.

However, the panel, comprising former Supreme Court judge Justice G. T. Nanavati and former Gujarat High Court Judge Justice Akshay Mehta, observed in the report that police at some places were “ineffective in controlling the mob because of their inadequate numbers or because they were not properly armed.”

The commission’s report was tabled in the Legislative Assembly by Minister of State for Home Pradeepsinh Jadeja, five years after it was submitted to the then government. On the riots in Ahmedabad city, where a former parliamentarian Ehsan Jafri was among those killed by the rioters, it said: “The police had not shown their competence and eagerness which was necessary” to control the mob violence.

It said, “On an overall consideration of the entire material, the commission finds that the communal riots which followed the Godhra incident were really by way of an aftermath of those incidents.”

The panel blamed the Godhara train-burning incident as the trigger for the riots. “Because of the Godhra incident, large sections of Hindu community became very angry and ultimately indulged in violent attacks on Muslims and their properties,” it said.

According to the commission, it did not find any evidence against “any religious or political party or organisations as such” in connection with the riots and violence.

It said: “The only thing that can be said with some certainty, on the basis of evidence which has come before the commission, is that local members of the VHP and Bajrang Dal took part in the incidents which happened in their localities.”

The commission questioned the credibility of three former IPS officers — Sanjiv Bhatt, Rahul Sharma and RB Sreekumar — who had alleged that there was a role of the government in the riots. After a close scrutiny of the evidence, it was not possible to say that there was any negligence on the part of police, it held.

They always return because they win in municipal.

BJP is second the biggest party in BMC. This is when they fought separately from SS last time.

Expect BJP tally to go up.
