New Zealand (402 & 110/2) secure a comprehensive 8 wicket win against India (46 & 462) in the first Test to lead the 3-match series 1-0

Classic Indian fan behavior. No one is special apart from the players playing for India.

Rachin is a fantastic player, world class potential if he isn’t one already. He walks into the Indian team.
Yea and then we all wake up.

Rachin is nothing special. Neither are indin bats any special

This fodder rachin got owned not too long ago

Always loved Rachin and even before the series had a belief that he'll be the MVP for the NZ team.
This is coming from an Indian so not all Indians are same and there are exceptions who value cricket over nationalities
Which is rare to see.

He has the potential to go down as NZ’s GOAT batsman. He is that good.

Can any batter show character to pull of VVS Laxman here? That won't be enough though, someone will have to pull a Dravid too. This innings will show if India is a really champion side or not
Anda
No one has cojones

He is far better than Gill, KL Rahul and Sarfaraz and you are delusional if you think otherwise. So he definitely walks into the Indian team in both Test and ODIs, but not sure about T20Is.

But I rate none of those players?? And no I don't rate rachin vs pace and bounce either

Your rating doesn’t matter. India is picking them and if they have a superior player like Rachin at their disposal they would pick him too.

Racing is a great talent. You need give him the respect and recognition that he deserves.

If Indian batsmen can become legends without having an ounce of ability to play swing, then he can also become a great in spite of his so-called weakness against pace and bounce.

If NZ can get ORourke, Jamieson , Finn Allen and Rachin to the Champions Trophy, they'll be a legit. threat to all sides.

Just a matter of selection

It's not so called . He is weak vs pace and bounce

India has better beatting talents in reserve but we need to kick the stalwarts out first. Kohli and co are past it washed up has beens. Bcci has no guts to drop them

And yes rachin is still nothing special.

'Got owned' not too long ago? Not really, he wasn't at fault when Sri lanka stomped them. His 92 on a spitting cobra was their highlight in a dismal series. One of the best young bats around atm

Let's wait till he faces pace and bounce. He has had issues vs that in the past.

46 all out and 0/51 in second innings.

That's us!

When kphli comes in to bat, will he make that ugly face again? When he gets bamboozled by swing?

I am sorry. I just can't accept such a one dimensional player as an ATg lol. Too many holes to exploit.

The rain will soon interrupt our batting momentum. .It’s already cloudy here, and the rain could start at any moment.
Bangalore weather is doing its best to help NZ win this test.

I will pick rachin over kohli in tests

Good start, India have to believe they can make NZ bat again.
A long way away but even a 150 lead on a pitch only getting older could prove vital

250 over left. No chance of draw as weather is cleared .

According to weather forecast currently chance of rain is 80% but here bright and Sunny afternoon .

A lose is 100% predictable
Hope it wont rain again, at the moment pitch is flat, if its rain again it'll become nightmare..

It will be epic of epic comebacks. I don't think a team has won from such a large first innings deficit.
Winning after conceding a 356 defecit would be a record, yes. Current record came in 2006 when England won after trailing by 331 on first innings but that came after Pakistan refused to take the field.

Record for where a full game was played is a 291 defecit for Australia vs Sri lanka in 1992.

We'll need 550 at a minimum to have a chance. That's batting all of today, tomorrow and well into the first session on the fifth day. Theoretically possible given it's still practically a Day 2 pitch but a miniscule chance.

I want to see them make the effort though. Not play casual shots to be able to say "we played our natural game." Treat every ball seriously...punish the bad balls once they tire - you know...old fashioned test cricket.

That England Pakistan game result has been changed to a draw bhai AFAIK.

Looks like Australia vs India ct don't happen after all, With the way things are going, India will be out even before Semi's 🤣.

Ajaz Patel to Rohit, out Bowled!! No way, you wouldn't believe it! Rohit Sharma doesn't, Virat Kohli doesn't at the other end. Length delivery on off-stump, skidded through a touch straighter, Rohit prodded forward and defended off the inner half, he thought he'd played a nice forward defence but the ball ran off the face and bumped into the stumps by the time Rohit realised. He stood there with his head hung down, eventually trudges off. This is a real bonus wicket for New Zealand. Was just looking like India were seizing the momentum.( cricbuzz)

Sarfaraz doesnt look like he will last long

If Sarfraz settles, he generally makes it count. He has 14 50s and 15 centuries and most of them daddy hundreds in first class cricket. He can barely be stopped once he gets into a flow in India.

A player who looks like a potatoe should not be playing for India but if he is talented then I guess we can make an exception. I am not convinced with Sarfaraz

I heard his brother is a good batter too, albeit much younger

If he can cover for his fitness defecies with batting talent then so be it. Kallis didn't exactly have an adonis figure either yet look at his immense records

172-2: 32.3 after being all out for 46 in the first innings is one hell of an aggressive approach

Southee is bowling so well, aiming for those cracks, any one of those deliveries could seam big and get a wicket.

Yes this Ranji season is crucial for Musheer. He's broken into the Mumbai team but it's a very packed line-up whenever the big boys drop in. That big century in the Duleep trophy against bowlers like Akashdeep, Avesh Khan etc. shows promise though. He's only 19

Kalis is beefy. Strong and built. I do like Sarfrazs attitude though. Let’s see. Vs bounce though I am not convinced

Just tuned in, Sarf gets a 50, well played young man
Rohit - dude - whata way to get out ,, bit unlucky as well...
Yash - hope he learns from this test experience.....
Seriously, we are looking at an epic towelling.....i cant see our guys batting this time tommorow....we simply dont have the patience/the hunger/we have done too many mistakes in the last two days- some of which we do not make on a regular basis...
I woudl like to hope and think we wont be repeating the same mistakes in the next two tests in india......

If NZ cant win after getting a 300 run lead , they can never win in India

Cure but till peanuts in context of the match situation. Only a 200 run partnership is a difference maker here.
They can certainly do that considering their approach, let's see if it lasts

Even still he had a belly, another example is inzy who was never on Kallis's level but was still a fine batsman in his day

100 partnership between these 2. Need another 200 runs added in this partnership.
