not an ODI ...........he said on this pitch if one stays on and bats then can score 200!!!! he was refering to himself by that obviosuly ! he was answering the question about the pitch said really gud can score 200 on this pitch in 1 day...........and they have gud bowlers ball comes onto the bat. nicely......probably was playing mind games

News is that play will start at 10.55 PST. That is 25 mins from nov.

Cavin Sahib I am from Lahore I know the weather prevelant there in the winters. As you pointed out so does the board, however as I mentioned earlier the Indians have probably had a huge say in the scheduleing as well. If that is the case (seems to be the most likely reason) then the PCB should have delayed the series instead of going with January in Lahore. Fasialabad is going to be the same thing and will probably present a slow underprepared wicket as well.

We speak to relatives in Faisalabad 4-5 times a week. They say its the coldest that they can ever remember-thats bound to affect pitch preparation-esp as we dont have the most sophisticated equipment at our disposal.

i agree it was meant to start a week earlier and if it had we would probably be getting all 5 days without any intreption i forgot that fact thanks for reminding me ur spot on!!!!
 
quick single brings sehwag onto strike.....lets see if he can beat sunnys record n bring the fastest hundred up by an indian he scored it off 94 balls sehwag has 5 balls to do it in

93 deliveries 100..i think hes got the record of 94......next ball goes for teh cut and misses the top edge of the bat
 
smashes it , hits the silly mid off feilder n rebounds to akmal takes the catch but replays shows the ball hit the ground first..butt down now

looked pretty gloomy on my 200k stream.. so i guess it would be a bit better in lahore

its nearly lunch time........so probably after an hour or so we might get something ...but for now not much hope!
 
PCB should learn its lesson and next time dont plan a Test match in Lahore/faisalabad in January. When will they learn.

Faisalabad will be a disaster too because the weahter there is even colder there and the wicket there is also dead, so It will come down to Karachi. The last Test match.

Hyderabad should be considered as an alternative venue for Jan/Feb Tests.

i dont remember them playing ever in dec or either in jan before...i might be wrong but as far as i remem never.....then why this time........if they wanted to then could have started from khi.....n by the end of the 1st test weather could have improved in punjab!
 
On Geo Inzi said that BCCI were given the option of starting from Karachi, but they decided against that and wanted to start from Lahore. But he added that no one knew what the weather would be like then.
 
Am seriously getting a doubt that this cavin 420 is not a human being..probably a smart automated software programed to give score updates n respond to evry post n pp...most of its argument don make sense to me ;-) :))

They have just messed up a potential exploding series.
what a treat this test match was if we had all 5 days of cricket.

I dont see much fun if the series will be decided on one test
 
Everyone know that there is fog problem in Punjab in Jan/Feb. How can they not know this.

This series will be a disaster becuase we didnt force the issue with BCCI.

you should ignore them if they dont make sense.you need some sense for that first.
 
anyone know what the situation is like now? are the clouds moving away? is the sun coming out?
 
they just showed the ground clip here on DISH NETWORK .. still gloomy .. or SMOKE .. as the weather channel puts it.

now somebody remind me why the FLOODLIGHTS arent used ? wouldnt that help ? its not like the ball is white ? and will get lost in the lights ...

India have the rigt to refuse to play under lights

The umpires were explaining the other day that due to the red ball, batsmen cannot get the depth perception when the ball gets closer to them under artificial light. The umpires themselves use that as an indicator when to call off play.

This is sad ...all the excitement for the series seams to be dying...i the worst part is cupl of days of wait for the next test match
