So what should Pakistan do ??? If they defend they will eventually get out and if they attack there is a risk of losing wickets. I think we should tell Razzaq to play his natural game and start hitting. If we can get a lead of 250, then we have a chance of drawing or winning the test match.

Forget about winning just play out and draw the test

I don't think you have enough overs to do that and bowl WI out as well. If they were going to do that they should've done it when there were still 65-odd overs to go.

And that's stumps. 3/346. Ponting on 137*, Hussey 63*. Excellent first day from the Baggy Greens - Langer got us to a great start and ended up with 82 (threw away a chance at a hundred really) and hit Harmy out of the attack. To finish the first day on 350ish with 7 wickets in hand and two well-set batsmen at the crease is great, and will give us more scope to attack tomorrow.

As for England, the bowling has been ordinary, Flintoff aside - geez the bloke is a massive competitor but the rest of his team, particularly Harmy, who I figured would be crucial to their hopes in this Test with his ability to get bounce, did not back him up. Anderson was expensive while Hoggy could not get much swing.

Game on for tomorrow, but I think we won 2 of the 3 sessions today (with the middle session being a draw).

wrong thread but its understandable :))

I don't think Pak have any thought of winning this match. They'll still be in the drivers seat with a 1-0 lead going into the 3rd Test. And strategically, given the context of the match, stonewalling for a draw is the best option. I don't think they can win the match from this position anyway, but they can still lose it. Why throw away a 1-0 lead?

I would bat till stumps if I could.

i'm looking forward to a Moyo 200. this should be enough to keep me up.
hasan316 may disagree but I too hope he gets it

112.3 Powell to Mohammad Yousuf, no run, bit of aggression or frustration depending upon your point of view. I am going for the former. Powell banged it in short and it sailed over the left shoulder of Yousuf. Powell then walks a bit forward, and stares at Yousuf. And keeps staring for sometime. The camera pans to Yousuf at the end of it, he is smiling. Ah.. Well.. when you have a hundred to your name, why won't you

The dreaded 400 looms - hope Pakistan hold their collective nerves...

Lara should go out for all out attack. End of day there is nothing for them to lose here in this situation!
