So how quickly will Pakistan knock off these runs or are we going to see the "slow and steady" approach?

Pakistan to chase this down in 15 overs with Hafeez Sobers and Babar to lead the way!

Should be tough chase. Since Misbah is a defensive coach our players may play with more cautions not to lose wicket in first power play.

Hasnain, Rauf and Usman were pretty decent. I think Wahab could have done better that 4 overs for 37 with his experience but, he cant be at his best in every match.

Fakhar to be tested against off spin. Good homework from Zim, something Pak can learn. :smith

How has Babar not yet got himself a bat sponsor like New Balance, Gray Nichols or GM?

The thing with Wahab is you know when you need someone to step up in big matches he will, 2015 world cup, 2019 world cup countless important matches against good teams where he's turned the match on it's head. He's a match winner so I'm not too worried how he does against Zim in a bilateral series, you just know he'll turn up in the World T20.

That was actually a decent effort. Fakhar isn't a long term solution. Not sure who could replace him in T20s.

As said before Haider and Abdullah cant have a better person to learn how to develop their game upto international standards than Babar Azam who himself is currently entering is peak and is their teammate.

It'll be interesting to see if Hafeez actually let's Haider come in ahead of him at his coveted #3 spot.

I am big Fakhar fan , but his average has dropped to 22 as his recent T20i form has been poor . Unless he scores in the next two matches he should be dropped .

Agreed.

Fakhar is beyond awful but I don't see any other opener replacing him others are even worse than him

Pakistan need to be careful with this Ngrava guy, he hardly gives any width

Didn't expect to see Marcus Stonis as 1 of the top T20 run scorers in a calendar year.

Zimbabwe has now couple of tall young fast bowlers and a good young batting talent. If they can nurture them well and can find decent players (A good spinner and opener) to support them going forward they can improve more as a side. They will need more international cricket under their belt as well which they havent been getting.

Thousand T20 runs in a year by Babar and IPL fans boys still unsure whether he would make any of the Franchises as a batsman :)))

Nah we got Hafeez so we'll be fine, if there was no Hafeez in the middle order I'd be worried, as I don't trust the others to really do much.

True Hafeez does specialise in minnow bashing. Hopefully he doesn't take it to easy and just tries to get the job done.

Come on now, he's easily become our second best batsman in the past 3 years, he can actually also accelerate and play at a modern day strike rate with ease as he's done against England, multiple times and South Africa as well the last few times he's played them I wouldn't call those teams minnows.

He will smash your IPL spinners more than Kohli could this year

Yh he has done well recently. I'm just saying he knows how to put away the minnows unlike some of our other players.

This hafeez 3.0 is on Rohit level when it comes to real acceleration and bashing, Kohli is no match atleast in T20s, and he can bash them Pacers also.

Comparing Hafeez and Kohli shows how biased, delusional, and your understanding of cricket.

Just stop quoting me . Your obsession with me is not healthy.

We should try to bring this down to run a ball as soon as possible because if we need more than a run a ball in the last 2 overs you already know that's too much for Babar to handle.

Still furious that he couldn't get 37 off 5 overs against Zimbabwe if not against Zimbabwe than against who? It was barely above a run a ball and against Zimbabwe of all teams he couldn't seal the deal. Babar really needs to work on his boundary hitting at the death.

Good shot by Haider. He has time to play himself in and get a decent score.

These things are hard to swallow but can happen to anyone, meanwhile youngsta beauty gone for almost nothing, he need to tighten his technique.

Yeah watching the ODI batting line-up without him really shows that for all the hate he gets there's a reason he's played almost every match for the past 10 years, behind Babar and maybe Haris he's the only other reliable batsman on the team, and unlike those two he can actually hit with ease.

I am very well entitled to compare the current form of Kohli to the current form of Hafeez.

IPL f@nboys can laugh and mock all they want

Seems he was playing a lot more conservatively today though, seems Misbah had a long talk with him about Operation Tuk-Tuk.

This NGarva guy has Haider Ali somewhere in his pocket I believe

I wouldn't play him in ODIs because he isn't a long term option. He won't be this good in 2023.

Ngrava having wood over Haider till now with his angle. Haider needs to practice more against left arm angle in nets (He has Shaheen and Wahab), still remember how Amir got him with inswing in PSL. Its a tough angle but he will be able to improve his game by putting in more effort and time.

This should be easy work for Hafeez. If this partnerships ends soon, I will be worried.

I was a big critic of Hafeez but now seeing him walk in to bat gives me confidence. We have not produced any good batsmen in a decade to replace him.

True but I don't want to drop crucial points to Zimbabwe either I'd stick with him till the end of next year honestly or whenever he falls off.
