What's new

Pakistan end Day 2 of the 1st Test on 308/8 with a lead of 88

Tell me then, how does a cricket Board earn its revenue, sherlock? If you bothered to pay attention to my post, I agreed that the match was interesting, I only pointed out that there would be a loss of revenue, which the PCB so dearly needs. This isn't some gully mohalla team, there are expenses, and expenses need to be covered, which neither you or I will be covering.
they earn it from matches

Since the last series you get the feeling that Pakistan's batting begins at Number 5

Unless South Africa collapses like a pack of cards in the third innings....this game is all set for a nail biting finish.

Chasing 180+ ain't gonna be easy at all on this wicket.

watching cricket in karachi always brings back memories of sachin tendulker bowing down to asif. what a glorious day that was.

Why csa have problem with janneman brothers?

enough watching poor temba occupying spot for so long

Good to see a Pakiatan fightback but batting last will be treacherous so a lead of 100 is needed minimum.

I know many dont rate Fawad at all but at the very least he would have ben better than the king of soft runs, Asad Shafoq. Should have invested in Alam over that guy.

Why are people crying about the pitch, wud u rather play on a road and see a boring draw?

Especially since SA gave away a few wickets with poor shots or run outs more than the pitch playing tricks. It's a Test in Asia, it started dry. That's normal.

If it was a bad pitch you'd see a spinner you knows is ok but no worldbeater like Maharaj looking unplayable. But he just looks like he's got a track he likes & is working hard for rewards- just the same as the batsmen. It's a reasonably fair pitch- slightly spinner friendly.

If it falls apart on Day 3 maybe we can judge it but you go to SA, sometimes you get a green mamba & a 3.5 day match if the quicks are good. Sometimes you come to Asia & get a dry one.

tests matches aint mean 4.2 SR

Test matches means whatever required to survive... and then score and take the game forward.
Minimize the Risk as much as possible for a batter.
But I guess you are 12 year old who watches T20 a lot so no point bothering with this further.

yes he should have had a full career and i have no doubt he would have been more succesful than shafiq.

I haven't heard Pollock commentating this tour. Pity, he has generations of stories and knowledge. Excellent commentator.

That goes to tell you how much FC he has played at the age of 20-21. While ours at 25-27 have not even played 50.

No country can keep up with the amount of quality cricket Indian players get coming up these days- from school cricket, age cricket, regional then FC they get plenty of real, hard cricket to play & then a chance to play with/vs foreign stars in IPL where they realise they are just humans who fail too.

Haysman and Cullinan the only foreign commentators in this test series unfortunately. Weirdly enough Simon Doull will be coming in for the T20s

Reverse swing shouldn't be problem on this very slow surface. Look how easily rizwan is managing it despite being very off balance
Reverse swing can always be a problem when the ball is pitched full enough to take the pitch out of the equation :waqar

Pommie as well, yes. We have a few good ones these days. Ntini can be funny as well. He's quite the character.

Ntini is a hole fresh take on the job. Doesn't believe in just sitting their trying to sound like everyone else saying the same old cliches that's for sure.

I'm concerned about how Lungi Ngidi is reversing the ball quite a bit.

We have Waqar Younis as our bowling coach, and our bowlers can't reverse the ball an inch.

Really concerning.

If Rizwan and Fawad can get a solid partnership here, we could take a lead. Good recovery by Azhar and Fawad.

i wouldn't be singing praises man he just not got the line right now and anything off stump rizwan can hit it unless the plan is to get a fielder set up and hit to square which would be a 999 iq move for de kock and if he does that i guarantee a wicket
