Pakistan reach 17/2 at Stumps on Day 1 and trail South Africa by 245 runs in the 3rd Test

Shadab needs to bowl lots of overs in FC games. He turns it more than Yasir, has better variations as well & taller than Yasir which should get him more bounce - only thing missing is control on his length, flight & loop. And he is a brilliant fielder, decent bat with lots of potential.

They are not wrong
Faheem can make it to all the associates sides(except Scotland) as 2nd seamer
 
Zubayr Hamza has better technique than any of our batsman. This guy will hammer us in T20 if chance given.
 
Hasan Ali is getting destroyed here. ODI bowling figures from him 0-58 from 10 overs.
 
If Hamza turns out to be a decent player of spin, South Africa are in for some luck.. looks an extremely compact player
 
All the talk of South Africa going down to West Indies, Sri Lanka and Pakistan level was overstated.

They have enough young batting talent coming through to remain one of the top sides. Of course, fast bowling will never be a problem for them.
 
This is probably the worst spell of fast bowling i have ever seen from anyone. Totally brainless from hasan

They have 3-4 top class fast bowlers in reserve who can come & settle into the squad. Obviously if you replace 4 regular bowlers with next 4 it’s not going to be easy, but this guy Olivier won’t have played had Ngidi been fit & Ngidi himself won MoM in his first Test.
 
2 newbies at the crease and PAK lets them get 45 runs in no time.

Truly minnow level bowling.
 
A lot of work has been done on Shadab’s hair and eyebrows. The fact that his bowling and batting has gone into the dumps is not a big deal.

Don't know what being a fan of Amla has to do anything here. But this guy looks like a great batsman and is going to be a good prospect for SA. The guy is composed and compact and is not afraid to play his shots.
 
Hasan has been shockingly poor.

Trying to do too much. Even the captain is telling him to stick to a single area of the pitch yet he isn't listening.
 
Total garbage bowling by Hasan and Shadab. Given the wicket is flat but too many hit me balls being bowled. Expecting 500 on this wicket. And no doubt Azhar and Asad will make this pitch look a minefield when they come out to bat.
 
I think, Markram-Amla partnership gave a wrong impression of the wicket. This track will get faster & cracks will appear - 350 in first innings is match winning here. Shadab is getting a bit turn as well on Day 1, 2nd session.
 
The so-called new age Pakistani cricketers and PSL finds are being taken to the cleaners.
 
Is Sarfraz trying to lose deliberately or what? Why is he keep on bowling Hasan and Shadab when they are getting thrashed? Poor poor captaincy

This match is to Hasan what Mohali SF was for Gul. I don’t think he will be able to mentally recover from this.
 
This is the type of performance that requires mass change.

At least 1 out of Inzy, Mickey or Sarfraz is a goner after this.
 
Why I am getting a feeling Sarfraz deliberately punishing Hasan Ali here by continuing with him. If I am not wrong, relation between two is not good. Anyone agrees?
 
Pak bowlers are being thrashed mercilessly. It proves they even if Pakistan did bowl in the first innings of previous two tests,the result would have been same.

I just can't match this Pakistan side to what I am used to and grew up seeing. Pakistan cricket is finished.

Actually its other way around. Our team is sliding down to associate level already with not a single decent batsman in U16, U19, A or national team.It doesn't help when hypocrite like INzi keep backing and selecting same old TTFs and useless players again and again.
 
Hasan Ali was triumphantly declared superior to Bumrah not very long ago. Resembling Ishant Sharma of 2012 right about now.
 
As poor a second spell as the first one from Hassan untill now. I dont know of he has stopped practicing and bowling in nets
 
Sarfraz bakhts to distribute mithai if Shafiq gets a fluke wicket here. It will be a “tactical masterstroke”.

Not comparable. That was a high pressure SF match against arch rivals. This is a dead rubber test match in SA with no expectations. He can easily recover from this.

Relax brother. Did you also stop watching cricket when Bangladesh was thrashed mercilessly last year? Did you also say Bangladesh cricket is finished? Your shupershtar Shakib was too afraid to tour too!
 
Whatever Hasan gained in confidence from NZ series is washed out today. I would say - save the kid and replace him from ODI squad with Abbas or any other pacer. If he has another outing in ODI, his confidence, whatever left will evaporate.
 
Looking forward to Mickey reminding us how this is part of a process and how the players are working unbelievably hard.
 
I'm taking solace from the fact that at least Abbas, Shaheen and Amir will get into the Indian bowling attack. :P
