Why don’t Babar and Rizwan open today and go for the runs from ball 1?

They are apparently the best white ball openers in the world. We are not going to survive 4 sessions as it is

Dropped catches, wickets on no balls and edges not appealed. Pakistan have been half asleep this innings, like they've given up already.

Lack of discipline with No balls has been a feature throughout the series so I guess not specific to this innings
 
Aussies may already have enough runs on the board to bowl Pakistan out if they get the reverse going to the effect they done in first inning, but they need to score a bit quicker to be certain and leave themselves enough time if Pakistan do not repeat their first inning collapse.

Babar played an all time knock as well. Just because it doesn't suit you narrative doesn't make it less true.
 
As a punishment to hasan Ali for him playing he should be bowling right now and that 10 overs on the trott to slow the scoring down. They will easily get singles against spinners which isnt good need to dry the runs
 
Aus can sit on naseem knowing the ganja murali will give them boundary in the other over
 
Nauman has been the worst bowler in the series, no wickets and being hit easily for runs.
 
Game can still be drawn. Just need to see off new ball and have set batsmen when it starts to reverse

There is no silver lining. I can bet before the declaration the Aussies are going to go be beserk and these two losers are gone a fluke a few wickets. Then “look at the scorecard, they deserve another chance”

And then meaningless milestones will come in to it like Azhar’s 100 tests. “Nauman can be the first spinner to play until he’s 40”
 
A forgettable series for world's #1 test batter.

Labu will bounce back tho.

I pity the next team Aussies are playing against, both Labu and Smith gonna go berserk
 
I would actually try this batting order and see if we can get the runs, if not shut up shop for the draw….

Disappointing series for the best young Test batsman in the world. Labuschagne should have scored a big hundred at some point considering the poor bowling and the flat pitches.

The run out in Karachi was a huge missed opportunity.
 
Labuschagne seems to be a such an attention seeker, dramabazis for no reasons every time he is dismissed and then all the theatrics in the field.
 
Hassan Ali is finished. He has no mileage left. He has had a 7 year career and that is more than enough for a cricketer who was never top class material.

Considering what he did in the CT, he overachieved given his limited skills. He can be extremely proud of winning the player of the tournament in an ICC tournament.

This should be his last year in international cricket. Time to find someone new.

This pitch is fine. But batsmen were too defensive on day 3. 170 odd runs in a whole day in the first innings is way too defensive
 
While I don't agree with what Mickey Arthur did with the Pakistan team, he was right about one thing - Having Faheem and Shadab in your team at all times as that gives you two bowling and batting options rather than having a specialist batsman and bowler. Both need to be in our test team right now.
 
Aus 310 Ahead - 130 overs left in game.

Depends how much longer they want to bat on and how many overs they think they need to take 10 wickets. pakistan aint chasing this total.

Its not about Pant and Stkokes only or being aggressive even Vihari and Ashwin dead batted them in Sydney just like Pakistani batsmen in Karachi.

Rizwan does not throw his bat in the dressing room, hold his head in his hands, start cursing when he is dismissed tgat too for no reason, especually when every time Labu was out Australia were not in a big hole. Its ok to joke around in the field.

Doubt Pakistan can repeat Karachi here. Starc and Cummins blew us away in a single spell by taking 7/20. That was the defining moment of this series.

Usman has been sensational. Aussies need to declare now if they have attenstion to win the match. Pakistan be too timid to chase this score down, and with confidenceof theirbowling efforts from first inning they can give Pakistanis torrid time.

Shadab has immensely improved his bowling as well. Have seen both Faheem and Shadab bail us out in England live at the stadium. They can handle the pressure and perform.

Same applied on Aamir. Both had limited talent but were hyped.

After M Asif
Pak never got a wicket taking fast or fast medium bowler at test level with genuine talent.
 
Hasan Ali has been finished for a while. He peaked during the CT trophy and then downhill since then.

He had a mini reassurgence but his career is probably close to being down.

Afridi is a decent bowler but lacks consistency and I think he will follow the Hasan Ali route.

It's the worst attack we have had for a very long time
 
Test specialist and fighter Azhar with a beautiful display in the field.
 
Good to see the catch go down as it would have just inflated chachu's wickets column.
 
If Abdullah goes early (and he is due a failure), a draw is going to hard, very hard.

That is declaration 100 runs short Australia will rue this declaration Pakistan might win this
